If drop ghost heat for IS then lets put back the clans like they should be....and why not everything from battletech games....Armor values and etc....lot of cries will happen i m sure.

I most say they have well balance the clans vs the IS because they would be a lot more powerful. They have many flaws that IS don t have...they can put a lot of weapons yes but if you re not careful, you can easily melt by heat (ex alpha with a Nova)



It aint the heat or all the other tweak this game have, it depend on team skills and individual pilots skills.

If you stay in open ground then you deserve to die fast by an lrm apocalypse. Or if you play rambo...you deserve to die fast. If you only alpha, you deserve to overheat and die fast.

Its not just alpha striking its the ability to build my mech how I see fit and if I explode after one shot so be it.

My point being is that high alpha pinpoint damage is a problem in this game and continues to be so even after GH was implemented. Its a band aid instead of a real solution like lowering the heat threshold.

If I wasnt a lazy git I would find where either Ekman or PAULINOUYEOURLORDANDSAVIOR said that they were actually against heat neutral mid to high dps builds. Long story short read anything Koniving has written about the mechanic. dude is like dead on and its too bad he doesnt work for pgi.

I still have a BMaster that carries 6 LL, but I don't fire them all at once. Firing two at a time is usually enough to keep a good stream of damage going, but you have to be real careful to avoid ghost heat, or you'll be a dead duck.

There's no such thing as "IS resistance."

Some people paid money to have powerful clan tech.

Some people did not and are stuck with IS gutter tech.

There is no "clans vs. IS" in this game.

That depends on the specific hardpoint system implementation we'd get. Some variations are more generous than others. Most sensible proposals would allow for at least some sort of inflation from stock hardpoints (while still keeping the overall "flavor" of the loadout).

I would imagine that each side torso on the Buttmaster could hold at least one PPC, given that the 3 MLas take up 3 slots and a PPC takes up 3 slots. I'd personally give the Buttmaster 4-5 critslots to use on energy weapons in each side torso (with a weapon # limit of 3, so you can't run 5 MLas in each side but can still do something like 1 PPC + 1-2 MLas).
