Very, very smooth animation. The only thing that I would recommend improving are the drone animations, especially where the anim seems to momentarily lock up between 0:48 and 0:49. It's extremely subtle though, but I thought pointing it out may help you :) Either way I know how much of a pain smooth organic animations are, period, so fantastic job! :D

Well done dude! Very fluid motion, nicely balanced model, good combination of detail and that drone is a cool little bugger :) Keep up the work dude, I could see your skills paying off in your future :D

Very nice job!!! One question: how long did it take you to develop this vid? Including Mech design.

Animation level: Epic!

P.S. Even the mock-up mech has recoil but god forbid we add this to the actual game...

It took me around 2 months to design and build, that includes figuring out the correct way the arms must fold up. It took me 2 weeks to rig, ive used a technique known as set driven keys. This allowed me to move a slider from point A to point B and all the flaps and hatches open on there own. The shoulders also have pistons that can both contract and extend when moving the shoulders around.
I had to research how to do this so it would be quicker to rig in the future.
I spent a day texturing it (textures are supper bad and i plan to go back and add a bump map to it) and around 4 weeks animating it. 8 hours a day at least animating, wanted to leave myself 8 weeks to animate so you can imagine on how much more i wanted to animate and fix some of the existing animation.

So all in all i would say 4 months. I am a novice though and i feel after creating it that i can make it again in half the time and quite a bit better, especially the rigging. Ive recently learnt how to create wires that would move independently around the mech as i animated.

Oh and this model is also game ready :)

The more you accustom yourself to this type of work with 3D modeling and animation, the easier it becomes... I got a buddy who went to the Art Institute of SF, CA and it's crazy the things they teach there. Keep up the practice dude, repetition is key with this and any other art style. :)
