I would like to see jets added as a pilot option in the future. Drop Ships also but I know they are no where close to that.

I was thinking about my Elemental Suit and thought what else...Have any to add = Jokes included.

I know melee weapons has been asked and joked about..

IS gets jets
Clan get Elemental Suit
(to start)

I would also like to see a scorpion added.

well i had a dream about an implementation of "Battle Space" into Community Warfare... but that was was back when i thought PGI could at least handle the Battle Tech aspects of CW... i doubt we will EVER see that

chances are much higher that we will see ground battles even with mechs in Star Citizen and/ or Elite: Dangerous before CW in MWO is in any shape close to many expactations...

Nothing worse than pidegon hole-ing a strategic asset into an arena. We might as well add attack helicopters and parachute drops to WWE wrestling.

Unless they add a open, sandbox theater of war, drop ships and aircraft would be a waste and awkard fish out of water, shoehorned into a barrel...and we'd be the monkeys they'd be shooting at.

Drop ships would be a kin to operating an elevator that can only go down,"bottom floor, lingerie and pulse lasers". Aircraft would likely dominate since they can pick and choose when they want to engage...or will be forced to buzz around a low level like children's kites...which is the absolute dumbest way to fly over a battlefield.

What you are asking for is a completely different game. AeroTech could be fun, but I don't see PGI making it.

Sure, I'd like to see supersonic aircraft on a map the size of a football field, going in circles like some kind of airborne Nascar race.

Nah, just kidding.

Besides, it seems like PGI isn't doing anything that won't result in a direct reward (i.e. being able to sell it for MC), with the sole exception being CW. And CW has been on the backburner for 2 years now, constantly delayed, while they keep selling new mechs and bundles. It seems like the only reason we got UI 2.0 already was because it would generate a higher income by having a better webshop integrated.

Look at how long it's taking them to create new maps, even though they have all the assets needed. They don't have to make a single new building or texture, they have everything they need. Not happening. Can't sell maps, not a priority.

As big as the maps were in LL, it was still a bad match. You really do need an expansive map with strategic assets in addition to tactical operations with ground pounding. You need wide areas between opposing airbases and targets so one can intercept and patrol against ground pounders and strategic bombing of installations and such. This helps to lift the air war up into higher altitudes and de-focuses the air from being mech harassment...which is a viable and worthwhile function, just annoying when it's overly fixated on harassing ground units.

In LL, I eventually became an almost dedicated AA tank and Long Tom driver...I especially need to be AA to discourage people from spawning air units, so my LT could bombard in piece ;)

The Jagger is a walking AA piece(thus it's paper thin stock armor) designed for a support role to protect assets against aircraft. Battletech can be an interesting game with all the other assets involved, but MWO is NOT designed for it. It would be impossible to keep an Aerotech Fighter on the map in MWO.

Other similar games have just added larger airspace above the ground map.

Unless your a Developer or Certified Tech you should not pretend to know the games potential and abilities.... Your comments are ignorant as you really have no idea.... Oh well

Meanwhile we don't even have proper obsticle-hitboxes on the maps.

Children are funny: It HAS to e a real dinosaur or NOTHING (I noticed a few posts like that reading through) Whine more that will 100% fix things.

That said I do understand the frustrations of players and lack of game. But its free just don't pay for this crap... But they do ultimately PGI does not learn.

If your rolling a clan mech and QQing about content you are a part of the problem no the solution.

So your solution is to stop giving them money so they go out of business and then noone else can make a Battletech game until their license expires, if any other company would even bother? Or did you think the staff and equipment that support this game and it's continued development was financed by wishful thinking and fairy dust? Just because it's free to play doesn't mean it's free to run.

Dropships would be bad, with our current jumpjets they'd just fall out of the sky, and even if they landed, their landing gear would explode after a 34 mps fall.

Well I would like to see Dropships on the maps now even if they do not shoot or blast-off etc. I don't understand why we don't have a mission-play yet for defend/attack the Dropship yet. It's high on the Role Play list.

As much as I would love it, you don't want aerospace in MWO.

Aside from the small size of the maps making it impossible, they wouldn't really have a counter. At least in MWLL a Huit or Partisan could run an anti-air loadout and deny aerospace certain sections of the map, but in MWO who's going to fire back? Not any of the mechs with their pathetic torso limits.

Even if they could counter them, it wouldn't stop the complaining. You think Clans create a lot of whining? Just wait until an aerospace pilot drops a giant bomb on half your team with little to no advanced warning (hint: some aerospace fighters carry ECM). Regardless if they do no more than an arty/airstrike for damage, the fact of the matter is people react differently to live pilots. Instead of going, "Oh, I just got hit by an arty, silly me," it turns into, "That MOTHER F***ER in the sky, I SWEAR TO F***ING GOD that POS is going down! aaaAAAAHHHHHRRG I CAN'T HIT HIM! SO UNFAIR!!"

No.

But I would a 13th pilot, a mech commander, added that can direct the action on the field. That would be sweet.
