The patch notes state that the patch is special with plenty of new content. Surely a typo? Worst patch in recent memory with the fewest changes or content.

Well there's new stuff, but this is one of those weird mid-patches so didn't exactly expect a patch at all.

I thought it was weird too how they say plenty of new content and then there's one hero mech and thats it. But I guess I'm already used to the "pgi hype".

It's not really content it's just filler.

The exciting new content must be the thing about "Target Destroyed" though it's likely nobody'll notice since a vast majority of players have it turned off anyways

On a side note there is a lot of something introduced by this patch... disappointment.

I think they are talking about content in the media form of adding things not content with the patch as in "I'm meh about this but I'll deal with it".

They have two options here.

They can have A: the patch notes you desire:

"Here's two mechs. You'll probably complain about them, but whatevs, got to pay the bills. Also some cast off art to hang in your cockpit for people that can't get enough of this MWO luxury train."

or, B. you can have upbeat, enthusiastic talk every single patch notes regardless. I'll take B, I get enough negativity looking through this forum for more things to talk/read about Battletech
