It's interesting, but I'd never buy it.

2 MGs isn't quite worthwhile, but you can fit an SRM6 (or 4+A) with a ton of ammo, 2 MLs, 2 JJs and max armour with 1.5 tons left...AMS or MGs?


I don't suppose anyone is insane enough to go STD engine Spider Zombie? With the larger than life legs, I guess that could be a bad idea...but interesting none-the-less.

Well, unless this variant doesn't offer the bonus... there will be lots of Spiders trolling across the board in the very near future.

I think doing a traditional trolling 5D build would suffice... otherwise of a close range NARCing troll Spider.

I forget how much tonnage that would take. I know you'd ideally want a STD 250+ weapons, and then go for the "crappy brawling build".

The 5V is a natural zombie spider. In fact, it's pretty much intended strictly for that. It works pretty well over in the Stock Mech matches and still pulls 142 kph stock with speed tweak.

I didn't mean SRMs... just 2 med lasers + 2 MGs. That can barely work with a 1/2 of MG ammo and 1 JJ.

That could be interesting. No current challenges, though.

We will see. I certainly don't see it being better than the 5D, at any rate.

It won't. It will however be trolling everywhere, because if I believe what is coming up soon™, and the hero bonus... you will see it EVERYWHERE.

This would be PGI's "solution" to the current state of the Light queue.
