I just read Inner Sphere Home on the S&P Pics. Do i need to wait with the creation of my Clan Unit until we get a "Clan" Faction or is a Unit omni and we can play IS & Clan in it on Factionwarfare?

I also really liked the idea of beating the clans with inner sphere mechs, collecting salvage, and building or upgrading our own mechs with it. Just because salvage and mixed tech won't be around, I still haven't given up the idea that the Wolfs Dragoons won't be overlooked in CW.
Up until today, I presumed that the merc corps creation thread (you know, where you buy the dropship/players buy in) was different than the 'unit creation' thread. I thought the 'unit creation' thread was describing loyalist factions, and mercs were something different. So, when I saw them describe IS as using IS mechs only, I wasn't worried - believing mercs were a different story. Now, I'm really, worried that my men, especially the trueborn among my ranks, will have to use these crappy inner sphere mechs, of which I have a very hard time playing since I bought my Timber Wolf. The playstyle is so different and to my liking, that the inner sphere mechs, well, they're garbage and I don't want to play them.
A pre-emptive solution for PGI. I hope you listen carefully, PGI, because there are a lot of Dragoons out there: If you won't give anyone the option to mix IS and Clan mechs in drops, at least give us Dragoons the option to drop in all clan mechs (even if we fight as a binary/10 mechs). But please don't take away our choice to play the mechs we want to take. I have many, many freeborn - especially House Steiner born - in my ranks. I CAN'T make them all play as a clan without violating my contract with the Federated Commonwealth (which is in actuality, an REAL agreement I have with the House Steiner HUB), but I really hate to see my trothkin who came with me from the Kerensky Cluster have to pilot these craptastic mechs produced by the Houses when I know damned well that the factories on Outreach are producing Omnimechs. I don't care if I have to grind out a ton of loyalty points or something with Jamie Wolf to get my Omnimechs. But you better give us the option!
PGI, please hear my plea!

I previously said that I would not play anymore because of the module nerf... (Stil angry about that though)..
But this makes me want to play... So I will test it, and try to kill som Clan mechs with my AWS'es

Also Steiner territory looks too cyan for me. Should probably be blue without greenish hue to avoid mixing with FRR later.

I know that it is only a test. But still. If that is what they end up deciding on to balance CW. Then all of the griping up till now is pretty much validated.

Dragoons are a special faction. They are a canon unit, thus you won't be able to make them. In the past they have said that you can join the Dragoons by maxing out the loyalty of all factions. Also the Wolf's Dragoons used few omni mechs, in fact they were given 'outdated mechs' so they wouldn't stand out.. They had a supply cache of more advanced equipment, but not on Outreach. They didn't use many if any omni mechs (it would basically defeat the purpose of their existance). Mostly star league stuff.
Essentially, you will not be Wolf's Dragoon's in this game until you join the faction. So yeah, prepare to be disappointed.

Little rant, to not body specific: Since it's just to show an example of how neat it looks when it's aligned correctly, rather than free-form poetry, I'm not too worried about some grammatical errors. I don't think PGI is going to follow my example that closely, if at all. The two minutes was probably still too much time invested, never mind the other amount of corrections I could have done to make it perfect.
I spat out animations that took me two hours to do because I wanted them to be perfect for backing up my ideas. But instead they got mocked by PGI. I spend an hour working on an edit for the in-game mech monitors to show how they can utilize that space, and how cool it would look. But instead it gets ignored - and I have clan mechs that don't use a single damn monitor. All I see: AUTO DETECT [ NO ] x8. So whats the point.

The map they are showing is from 3025, before FRR was around. They said they'd update before release of it.
To be true, it is really hard to include the FRR... I mean, they exist for... like 10 years or so and then everything is gone and they have 3 houses left on a corn field or so...

Also, minor feature request: extra presets for faction-themed ranks. I understand that the US Army (why not the Canadian army? ) is a handy default; but the Houses use other naming schemes and ranks.
House - real-world parallel
Steiner - German
Davion - British
Kurita - Japanese
Liao - Chinese
Marik - generally American, though the "Marshal" rank is more typically English or French
FRR - Swedish
Clans - none (unusual)
It'd be a bit more immersive.
Really like the idea that the ranks would be different across the units, make it so...

Thanks for listening PGI! This would be a reason to climb in my heavily rusted and dusted IS-Mechs for a Change.
Unit-Function Looks nice.
Spider-Hero: Finally!
PGI real picked up pace (which was needed, since for the last 2 years before the Invasion almost nothing happened.

A balance fix and lore fix in the same test?
