With the new UI, they have Bundles, first only 4 starters then added the group bundles with several variants of one chassis. I am not just suggesting an idea, I would like for others who are interested to post their ideas for other Bundles that fit the theme I will outline here. Maybe we can get a trend going and some great bundles. At the least, you can express your inner artist and show some knowledge of Lore including units you made up to fit in it.
I thought Lore themed Bundles would be a good idea. Based on the first 4, I did a few changes to the Bundle composition as seen in the list below showing the Lore themed Bundle format. If you want to try Clan ones, go ahead though they should have Clan items to fill the 2 cockpit item slots listed.
Lore Bundle Format
- 300 MechBay
- XXXX Mech (only 1 Variant that fits the Lore theme you aim for)
- XXX Camo (75/750 or 125/1250)
- XXX Paint x3 (500 or 1000 each)
- 750 House Holo / 250 House Banner / XXX Non-House Standing Item for Factions with no Faction Standing Item
- 500 House Medallion / 300 House Dreamcatcher / XXX Non-House Hanging Item for Factions with no Faction Hanging Item
- 45% discount of total
- I replaced the Hula Girl and Premium Time with Camo Pattern and Paint. I figure looking the part of a Lore unit would be better than getting more Hula Girls (what is the fascination here with an army of Hula Girls?) and PT. Total cost could be about the same I believe.
- The Statue and Dice are either replaced by House items of your choice or 1 Standing and 1 Hanging item you think fits the Lore of your Bundle.
- I read some people elsewhere talked of Bundles with more than 1 Mech. I ask you keep these to just 1 Variant please, the total can get high depending on how the Bundle is designed. As seen in my examples, these are low cost bundles and sometimes a Faction may only use 1 variant of a chassis.
If possible, include a picture from MechLab or elsewhere of the Mech, Camo and Paint. You do not need to have them (the specific Mech, Camo or Paint) unlocked to do this, just go under a Mech you own in Mechlab and try different ones until t looks right. List which Camo Pattern and Paint used in certain slots (P = Primary, S = Secondary, T = Tertiary).
Maybe PGI can even run a contest on this just like when they did for cockpit item ideas!
Here's one from each weight class and Lore them as examples.

Executives of the Sphere: Professional Protection
EotS paint is in shades of black, white and grey because they usually work in urban environments plus those are well known business suit colors, though exceptions can be made depending on terrain and assignment. Unit logo is a silhouette of several people in business attire similar but not exactly the same to this one with 1 figure per house and one clothing item colored the house color representing they will work anywhere.

Wilson's Hussars: Never Give Up (always had an interest in them since I read about them from the original Mercenary's Handbook)
Wilson's Hussars paint their machines in a patchwork of purple and white; a vast improvement over the mismatched colors and primer schemes of their past leaner years. Vagabond was used to represent a cheap camo job of a run down unit.
The unit insignia is a rectangular field split horizontally into purple and white halves, with a hand giving the "OK" sign. Per FM: Mercenaries Supplemental, page 65.

Magistracy of Canopus
3rd Canopian Light Horse: Defiant to the End
The Third's colors are black with silver trim. Crusader Pattern comes close to doing this on any Mech.
A woman bearing a lance and clothed in a red and green cloak while riding a horse bareback is the Cheval's insignia. The insignia of the Third is based off the original Third's: a magnificent horse with a flaming mane, balanced upon the world of Canopus, with the Roman numeral III below. Per FM:Periphery, pages 26 and 35.

Terran Hegemony
I just thought it would be interesting to do a basic camo from the original House before the Star League. I know other Houses fit timeline, I figured enough people would do those. I have no listings of units to use so I decided to go with one of many basic camos themes, something for woodland.
Here are three versions of it with the same colors in different slots on the camo

Other possible themes are Solaris stables, loners, something good you think of.
A site with some ideas. Sadly some cannot be done.
