So... Perhaps My bringing it up here will prevent any further Disappointment.

Events often get announced on the day they start. In this case, i think it came up the night earlier.

There's going to be an event every week for the next few weeks, check back tomorrow after 10 AM PST/1 PM EST/5 PM GMT.

Check your Challenge page, a House Marik challenge is due this week which will offer you a chance at a Mech Bay again...

I have to agree with these disappointed posters. This was a great idea, but terribly implemented. Post on the same day?!! The exact timestamp that it ends included but not the date??!?!?!?!. No update after the event to indicate its over and that people should check back at date/time for the next one?

Like the others here, I thought this was for today, and when I discovered it yesterday, I made plans to logon and participate and have my brother do the same.

Also, while we're delivering feedback, why is the timeframe to participate so limited? Some of us don't have Sat/Sun off you know. Take a play from WoW's play book and make "weekend" events a Fri-Mon thing

Really though, you guys need to think about this stuff before you act. What are the real goals here? To drive participation. To get people to tell their friends. To diversify which mechs are being used. Maybe even establish a little good will? For the first two, you need a prompt announcement. Otherwise, you are just giving a free mech bay to the people who were already going to login which doesn't accomplish your goals.

And as the third is always a good thing, there is no need to force it into a standard weekend only. The (opportunity) cost to the company for a mech bay is quite low compared to the potential concurrency increases, not to mention the quality of the experience increase from the diversified mech selections and the good will from happy players.

Of course that last part depends on you doing your communication properly, so people don't feel like you screwed them over after your poor communication prevented them from participating.

Niko said "leaderboard" in that tweet. I see nothing about a leader board event in the command chair post.
