ok ive noticed as a battleMech Pilot that its sometimes hard to Text and Drive,
(no pun intended, dont Text and Drive, ever its better that way)
anyway i had an idea that works in other games and may work here,
i call it Quick Voice Commands, also know as Voice Commands,
some games have this, games like Tribes 2 & Tribes: Asend,
so heres how it works, the Pilot presses the botton and calls up a command window,
then chooses a primary branch of commands, then the individual commands themselfs,
which is then yelled as if by Bitching Betty, in this case its your pilot yelling over coms
Example,
pilot presses (G)[command window comes up, under textbox, and displays]
G-Global(voice will be heard by everyone in the match)[Pressing (G) will open options below]
. G-Good Game[press (G)](Voice says "Good Game!")[Command window closes]
. L-Good Luck(Voice says "Good Luck!")
. A-Awesome(Voice says "Awesome!")
. Y-Yes(Voice says "Yes!")
. N-No(Voice says "No!")
. D-Damit(Voice says "Damit!")
A-Attack(voice will only be heard by team mates in the match)
. A-Attack(Voice says "Attack!")
. P-Push Up(Voice says "Push Up!")
. R-Flank Right(Voice says "Flank Right!")
. L-Flank Left(Voice says "Flank Left!")
D-Defense(voice will only be heard by team mates in the match)
. D-Defend(Voice says "Defend!")
. P-Pull Back(Voice says "Pull Back!")
. R-Right Flank(Voice says "Right Flank!")
. L-Left Flank(Voice says "Left Flank!")
T-Target(voice will only be heard by team mates in the match)
. A-Target Assault(Voice says "Target Assault")
. H-Target Heavy(Voice says "Target Heavy!")
. M-Target Medium(Voice says "Target Medium!")
. L-Target Light(Voice says "Target Light!")
C-Capture(only avalible in Capture&Hold matches)(voice will only be heard by team)
. T-Head to Theta(Voice says "Head to Theta!")
. G-Head to Gamma(Voice says "Head to Gamma!")
. K-Head to Kappa(Voice says "Head to Kappa!")
. E-Head to Epsilon(Voice says "Head to Epsilon!")
. S-Head to Sigma(Voice says "Head to Sigma!")
B-Base(only avalible in Base-Assault matches)(voice will only be heard by team)
. A-Attack Enemy Base(Voice says "Attack Enemy Base!")
. D-Defend Our Base(Voice says "Defend Our Base!")
. E-Enemy At Our Base(Voice says "Enemy At Our Base!")
with these commands it would be alot easier to send information through the battle field,
for instance if a player wanted to say gg but in a voice they could just press GGG,
also assuming this was implimented IGP and Piranha Games could give us Voice packs,
giving all pilots a default Male and default Female Voice pack, to express them selves
and offer premium voice packs for MC, (ex. Rookie[Male], Sargent Major[Male], Lieutenant[Female])
