I was playing on river city night map I hit the nightvision key the screen went black except the icons denoting a mech but I could not see the mech, switched to Infared and the mechs showed back up. I could see as well as one can with out either of them turned on

You'll notice that once that match is over the next match you need heat or night vision everything is working again. This suggests that night vision/heat vision sometimes but not usually fail to load.
