OK I don't, post! in these forums often.
I think this game needs more funding to hire new people to spend on the Player Verses Environment aspects of MWO.

Hell offer a story mode as a pack. I WILL PAY $MONEY$ for an expansion pack over battlemechs any day of the week. $50 for an expansion pack and one month early access.
Or whatever could be reasonable and inviting for people to INVEST in your game.

The new display screens showing mech info. Love this new feature. That was a long awaited development and we are happy to receive. This is a perfect example of adding LOVELY CONTENT to the game that encourages people to want to play it.

Give us more maps and new battle modes, with options to select them freely.
Add a two sided battleship, boss fight that a huge battle ship, spawns in the water maps. So that both sides have to balance their teams between Attacking and Defending each others battle ships. Give the battle ships tons of destructible weapon hard points that it can use for attacking players with Lrm launchers and lasers, maybe even auto cannon turrets.

Each battle ship closes in on the other so it becomes a huge brawl towards the end of the match. Until every player is dead or one of the boss battle ships is left standing in the end. HOW EPIC IS THAT?, And Or you could substitute water boss battles for two boss trains that do the same thing.

You already have 2 rail way maps. So you have the terrian elements to build a railway map. Have both trains go head to head (slowly might I add). Ooooh or make a train heist map were mechs try to capture resources from the moving trains or ships for extra points. Combine it all into options to offer players multiple ways to win in quick match with a custom Que.

Players would love that. However dont trap them into being forced to play these new features. Please, please, dont force players into new content.
Just add features as a selection. Where players may choose to browse the new content as it is released live and are never forced to utilize it in a roulette loss during quickplay.

Add new weapon attachments for customizing your weapons in the selected weapons improvement slots that belong solely to that one weapon its self. Making the weapon choices unique earned and engaging.
Change up the equipment system and make a new market were players can custom slot bonus ability modules for weapons, trade the weapons to other players if desired, and then repeat. Making more unique weapons, for everyone to customize thier own mech with simple attachments.

This is what could possibly re-balance the system. By bridging a gap between the clan tech and I.S. tech . This could add too and enrich your game. It shouldn't be about adding more mechs at this stage of MWO Development. We have more mech options than we know what to do with. Give us another avenue to push our Gxp into. That we can tweak the weapons to be unique to the player's desired style of play.

Wasn't there ACE mech pilot's with thier own custom mods to their mech's weapons? You guys have been selling us the chassis with the custom quirks. Why not just let us add our own custom touch to the weapons and equipment? (Refer to the post made down below on the custom crafting system I had an idea for.)

If anyone else has some better ideas to make a unique system to dump more Gxp into, to make our mechs more unique, Please speak up?

Add new npc tanks and helicopter like air/ ground units that can fly in and support their allied team. Hell put NPC ASSESTS and vehicles, on the ground running away from the cities and away from destruct-able buildings, bases, when you add them. Make the people and cars able to be trampled on just like MW3, unless community doesn't want that kinda violence? However it would be funny.

You could even have the ground troops fire on the mechs with rockets and grenades and mortars, maybe even machine guns. Jeeps and armored cars. Hover tanks or what ever you can put in the game. That you deem lore friendly enough to put in game. We dont have any of this right now, if you could offer some of it as a taste of separate PVE play style, a story mode. A lot of people would enjoy a break from PVP Death Match.

Add new consumables that summon Multiple, (up to three,) npc tanks that come with lrm, srm, auto cannon, and laser varieties.
Add new assault supporting mech attachments, to have what tanks are in play, to give a support bonus to artillery strikes, and what ever helicopters are in play give a support bonus to air strikes.

This would be adding too and enriching your game.
This whole adding more mecha with less space to use them in is making people angry, and more aggressive towards each other, and for the love of mecha. Do not make all of this new content in clan warfare only. Please add new quick battles themes, Based on shorter versions of the boss fights or what ever.

Ask yourself how can you go wrong adding more CHOOSINESS content to the game to make it feel more like a battle, in a completely different game mode? Like how the older mech warrior battle games were and not a forced gladiator match every load in? The tutorial is like the only pve we have. You guys can do better than that.

(*Disclaimer* toned down my rant, however skip to next post if your done reading thank you.)

What you guys did to Huggin was just Cruel.

I could deal with a 10% nerf I think that might be fair to balance with Oxide. Hell a 15% nerf would piss me off but I would get over it the next day..... but only a +5% quirk!!!! What were you guys thinking?
All that mech had was speed and a few tons of ammo for its offensive power then it is dead in the water for no damage at all.

Then it becomes a useless base crapper, or free moving target practice. You could practically walk on it and trample it to death.

The Grid iron is fudged too. With the Gauss riffle speed nerfs its hard to use it effectively.

Inner sphere M-pulse laser nerfing the range. Woh man??? Clan m-pulse have like, 50% more range lead over inner sphere... Really people?... leave the damn laser ranges alone. They were just fine where they were, with Clan having a slightly better range and paying for it in more heat. It was fine, like it was. But now some mechs have even greater bonus than they had before, and some other mechs are less than balanced.

No more Re-balancing. Just straight up stop the nerfing, PLEASE Stop doing this. Your just losing players that were already annoyed to begin with. That is not what this game needs.

why they didnt originally do the same as most every other game out there is beyond me.

1: Story mode PvE sell for what 50-80 bucks each.
2: Online mode- all existing modes
3: mech packs - 20 - 120 bucks
4: everything else included for online as it is now all micro trans etc

IMO the company would have made a ton more cash if they had done it this way.

OK i'm going to stop you right at "crafting system" no. Why would a mechwarrior game ever require a crafting system? I can't even imagine what you would craft. What? Rarity based weapons or something that would cause even more problems with balancing and some things will need to be nerfed in order to compensate not only that but it's not lore friendly crafting systems have never existed in mechwarrior games it's not needed.

And I think there's a social misconception with the term Nerfing and
re-balancing they are not bad, the developers sometimes need to fix something that's broken and sometimes a weapon or even an entire mech is preforming far better that it should and in order to give the other weapons or mechs even a chance that weapon or mech needs to be re-balanced to fix the problem and make the game fair again.

NO, do not think rarity weapons, green for uncommon, blue for rare, orange legendary, no no, that is not what I meant. Please do not think of that gear stacking system that other MMO's use.

The crafting system I had in mind would just be adding permanent +2% weapon mods example, +2% cool down speed or +2% weapon range boost, or -2% heat gen, Weapon modules slotted to a weapon its self.
Create something simple like +2% bonus per weapon module equipped, max of 3, but applied too only 1 weapon per mod token.

Allow that weapon to be bartered with to other players on an auction house or some form of trade window, mailbox system or something. Some people may want a weapon that gives 3 x +2% range = +6% to a ER large laser (but the bonus applies only to that 1 weapon), (and once slotted it cant be removed). Some people want that extra kick to max out something. Make them earn the crafting by playing the game for GXP. This way new players can see the elder players rock shareable custom builds.

Other people want too be able to change out builds and try new weapons on for size. This could really bring more life into the game. It could give players that have spent time playing, an option to share it with other players. Really if you wanted to. you could just not charge other players anything and just have the well established player give freely to anyone.

All that item represents is time that someone has accumulated while playing the game in order to make something unique.
However you want to price that is freely up to the players.

All this is doing is adding Optional content to the game, meaning you can choose to use it and its there you dont want to use it at the moment. So people can stop blaming the mechs for all the unbalancing and blame the players for making Over powered builds, with their creative minds. Content that everyone can enjoy openly for building custom weapons. Then it kinda becomes the player and his custom build, killed you, not the mech chassis.

You could balance the I.S. weapons vs clan weapons through this system. By adding a reduced tonnage mod or a compact weapon to reduce the number of slots the weapon takes up on the mech by 1. Maybe someone wants to add the ER to a I.S. medium laser to make it comparable to the clan variant.
To balance the clan weapons give them 2 weapon slots and have the ER be already permanently equipped in a grayed out slot. You would be effectively allowing the players to balance the game for you by making custom builds that anyone can aquire.

Again make them earn these mods by playing the game. So they cant create it unless they have spent GXP to unlock the ability to purchase a mod enhancement Token, charge them MC or C-bills for that, like normal equipment.
Create a market where players can trade these custom weapons to other players instead of just junking them to the vendors if they need more c-bills for a new build and dont want all that effort to go to waste.

Allow another player to open trade, one player gets a pre-made custom weapon sporting the player's name that added the mods. The other player revives a few bills to continue building more battle mech goodness.
If you do it right then everyone has the option to make custom builds. How can you unbalance this if everyone has the ability to use it freely so long as they earned it by playing the game?

You could think of it this way. People didn't like the idea of heroic mechs having such high bonuses. Well then if your not going to give us back our thunder, then please, just allow players that have put time and effort into the game. Create their own heroic mech out of any mech they have. Bamm balancing problems solved.
The game developers might even make more money from it if MC is involved.
This could help out everyone that chooses to participate, and it can be beneficial to PGI.

I do agree it might go against what we know from lore but this is not the same game as the previous generations, it might not be lore friendly to make a custom I.S. build that performs close to a clan build if not copying it altogether. However this would give more options to the players to balance it on their own terms, where they want to invest their weapon slots and skill selection is up to them.

The cons might still be that someone could dump a $1000 into MC, to dump into the skill trees, but how is that not being profitable to PGI? To further fund the game so they can hire new staff to develop the PVE engine?
Well if the person is crazy enough to do that, then good luck to them, because if you add an open market. Every player has a opportunity to apply what ever build the MC buyer has through the trade option. The MC buyer just gets to use it quicker that is the only real power trip. They do fund the game.

An other point I would like to make about the ECM.. So this laser range lock on was introduced and they nerf the ECM, I'm guessing, to try and help account for the no lock = reduced laser damage?
This whole lasers with reduced damage for not locking on target was not the brightest idea. They have removed it for now from what I saw in the forums. I have a feeling that was also what pushed the ECM's to be nerf.

As far as I can remember the ways to counter an ecm were as follows. 1. With another ecm,, 2. With beagle active probe,, and 3. With a tag laser,, 4 with a UAV. 5 with a narc.
#
5 ways to counter. That is plenty of options to counter the ecm mechs. If you are not choosing any of those options and still want to complain about the "jesus box" then that is on you. I still think you should have a 90m jamm/disrupt other mechs range and a 180m radar blanket to cover for your team mates if you want to balance it.

LRMS are going to rule the game again, if they dont allow the players to have the proper ecm coverage. No body likes being killed by LRMs before they even have a chance to fire a shot and that is the type of game play that is being promoted with the current changes made.

I updated the polls to show better options and be more specific. Check over your votes. Make sure the votes are too your liking. Everything should be more specified.
