Hard to argue with that.
I was sorta serious though. This game ain't battletech by any stretch of the imagination, so I don't quite understand why PGI is cherry-picking table-top rules/values for certain items but doing their own thing for others.

Because PGI doesn't give a shite about the lore.

The point was that the alterations you've proposed are most certainly not going to happen (or even be seriously considered), and that you'd be better off lobbying for the inclusion of BattleMech weapons that actually do roughly the same thing as you've proposed.
