Complete speculation on my part, but mech sizes do tend to reach out and slap someone when they appear heavier than they are.

The Treb looks way better imho, nice thin profile but thuggish with the thick massive "neck." The Vindicator just looks like a common footsoldier. And I had such high hopes for a sleek looking Vindicator. Le sigh.

Giving the Vindi is very much a "common footsoldier"/packhorse I would have been scared if it didn't give off that vibe.
