the sad part is that buying the summoner "A La Carte" is cheaper than buying the MC for it. now imagine for anything heavier... moral of the story, if you are planning on buying MC to purchase these mechs, do not. buy them a la carte or c bill, MC is for chumps

Just use the MC to GXP out the basics for alt variants... then sell em back and buy extra Prime(s). Cuts your skillz grind in half that way.

ehhh I for that cash an IS light can be just as flexible while still being faster.
No, actually, an IS light can't be anywhere near that flexible. IS lights can be fast, but so can a mentally handicapped track star.
A light doesn't have to run 150kph if you actually play with your teammates.

Yeah it is a bit pricey but consider on an IS mech, the XL engine alone would set you back an additional 3 million C-bill on an IS mech. Then of course the DHS upgrade for 1.5 million. Then add in the FF upgrade....oh and the Endosteel upgrade. Wait a minute....that is about 5 million right there.
All in all, it isn't too pricey considering.
Still your right about the Dire Wolf. The current estimate is around 17 million per chassis. Timber Wolf which is 25 tons lighter is going to set you back 15 million and a Nova is the price of an Atlas (before upgrades).
Moral of the story....You had better start saving up if you want Clan mechs. Remember they will be releasing 1 new chassis every two weeks starting today.
For me, I am going to get the Kit Fox, Nova and Dire Wolf, skipping the Summoner and Adder. Warhawk is a distant maybe. I already own the Timber Wolf and Stormcrow for cash, mostly to avoid the C-bill grind and the wait. Still I am looking at 96 million just to buy 3 of each of the Kit Fox, Nova and Dire Wolf and that doesn't count the cost of outfitting and modifying. Luckily I have 73 million saves so I MAY actually have enough to afford all three Dire Wolf chassis when it releases.

unless you are nuts like me and just want a second Summoner Prime for Stock Mech matches. But for any instance (aka 99.9% of purchases) a la carte is far more sensible. (As would simply stripping my Prime regularly...but I'm lazy)

6 million c-bills is all you'll ever have to spend on it short of weapons and omni-pods, which you can reuse on other kit-fox variants and/or clan mechs.
IS Mechs like to charge taxes just to change armor types and structures and heat sinks, never mind actually wanting that XL300 to the Jenner and all that.

since kitting out an Ember, properly, sets you back 5.1 million on top of the IRL money....doesn't seem to bad, TBH.
