Then you've walked into this relationship with unrealistic expectations. This isn't just a purchase, where you pay and get what you get. It's not a cheeseburger, it's a relationship.

Well they said it was going to be a cheeseburger, but they forgot the cheese and the burger. They brought a damp bun and said here you are!

Unrealistic expectations were the ones they used to advertise this game in the first place.

You can see the cowardice they have in them bringing this thread to nowhere in the forums. Any straightforward criticism of the game terrifies them.

Yup, this thread is officially dead due to the exemplary actions of the Forum Admins, whose motives can be questioned, but maybe not this time as the Points of View expressed in this thread are diametrically opposed with little chance of resolution.

Then you've walked into this relationship with unrealistic expectations. This isn't just a purchase, where you pay and get what you get. It's not a cheeseburger, it's a relationship. One that's built on gaming, but a relationship none the less. It thrives on the same basic principles, investment(in this case, time, emotion, finances), communication, patience, trust, forgiveness, faith, vulnerability, commitment. It requires some combination or all of the above from both sides to work.

No, it really is an investment. However, you wrap it up in enough nostalgia and emotion and pretty soon it'll have you like a well-beaten waifu. You will be hurt, repeatedly, but accept it as the norm until the rot in the center is terminal.

The line between commitment and being committed (to a madhouse) is only as strong as the trust which is abused.

I put in for a game that was supposed to be a thriving PvP, community-warfare game. That was the promise. It remains broken, and no amount of "Wait! We really mean it this time" works. They have exhausted my trust. My wallet remains closed, and the duct tape holding it shut is named Paul.
