I recently had to replace my hard drive. And so I did a reinstall of MWO. But upon trying to play my first game. It crashed saying "CryEngine Error Memory Allocation x bytes failed".

I googled it. But I couldn't find a definitive solution for it. Someone on the Cryengine forums said something about Memory timing potentially being wrong. Don't have much experience in messing with that though.

I had this issue and it was related to the Windows Swap file size.

Try to set the windows swap file to 6 GB or 8 GB and see if the error persists.
