I have played MWO since the day of its opening. Purchasing a Founders package. Then I invested in quite a few hero mechs etc. Then came Phoenix purchased that one also. All hoping that we would see more maps and content. Nope.

I then heard that everyone was working on the Clan Mechs so no new content would be added till after that. Well sadly that hasn't happened. I for one have become very frustrated with this game. Needless to say so has my Clan. Murphy's Law. We used to have 50 or sixty guys playing all the time. Well lucky if we have 2 or 3 any more. I am sorry to say that I am curtailing my time and investment into this game till more content is added. I am getting to really despise this game now. I have played most of the maps over and over and over for years. I had high hopes for This game it seems my trust if PGI has been misplaced. Well I hope they can turn it around but if not then its done for me.

A little about me. I have been playing Battletech since the first videogame playing on 5.25 Floppies. I played that game on Okinawa serving in the United States Marine Corp from 88 to 93
After 9/11 I joined the PA Army National Guard and became a Cav Scout 19D. did my deployments etc. I own my own business and have discretionary income to invest into a game I like and sorry to say it wont be with MWO anymore.

Anyway I will still play on occasion but I will not invest another penny till they add more content.

Take care folks.

I know the Feeling Marine .I uninstalled Yesterday Evening Myself. Just too much Repetitive Gameplay and Slow to develop Content almost that its to the point that its Nonexistent ... (Unless of course it is a MC Purchasable Content then it is Sped out the door at the cost of Promised CW)

Well they're working on CW. But also we have lots of instability right now with lag. The ongoing struggle to balance the IS and the Clans. While also holding to their promise that IS mechs would still be released alongside the Clan mechs. And eventually a freakin map.

You see the problem is that you spent money and thus have a vested interest. It's only natural to feel disappointment when you've spent real money.

It would have been better to have just kept it purely on a F2P basis, that way you wouldn't have any regrets or any disappointment. It's like the no strings attached booty call.

I know what you're feeling as I'm in exactly the same boat. I regret dumping money here. I regret buying clans and can fully appreciate all those people that don't have any tags next to their names laughing at us.
I hate it when that happens and my usual response is to give as much as I take but unfortunately PGI has given absolutely no legs to make a stand with.

All those people laughing at people who have sunk money here are basically right and it's taken so long with PGI still set in their island ways that if the last laugh finally comes for people like me, it's so weak and pitiful that it'd be not worth doing at all.

I plan to keep on playing, but I find it sad to see so many hardcore Mechwarrior fans leaving MWO.

I can't say I blame you for it. Many things were mishandled by IGP/PGI and having Microsoft in control has never been good for the Mechwarrior franchise.

In my opinion we should have had community warfare up and running long before we had any clan mechs in the game. We should have been having house vs. house wars with mercs joining in, and then suddenly mysterious invaders from beyond the periphery showing up. They said they planned to be true to the lore and the timeline for MWO, but they really haven't been. Having the clans involved from before the start of CW just complicates things. Just look at all the "balance issues" they have created.

It seems to me like PGI did it all for the money. Telling us over and over again we will never have our "Madcat" until some players said they would pay $1000 for one. Then suddenly we have expensive Clan mech packages with $500 gold mechs.

I think even PGI would do some things differently if they had a chance to do it all over again, knowing what they have learned.

I just hope all the players that have left eventually find something worth coming back to this game for.

Stop posting "I quit" threads. Throw your P2P mentality into trash. Cuz quitting is some sort of punishment only in P2P games. In F2P games developers don't really care about players, who quits. The real punishment for F2P developers - is to play their game, but not pay for it. So. I'll continue to play this game as usual, but I won't pay any extra money, till I won't see, that money, I spent on clan packs, won't be used to actually improve this game. To fix matchmaker (yea, I haven't won even a single match since the beginning of this week - all was complete stomps, can't earn even a damn 1k of exp), fix bugs (weapon groups, constant hangs, crashes, freezes), fix balance (stop nerfing weapons already), fix hit reg (make lights less invulnerable), improve UI (mechlab is terrible, finally add "ban map" feature) and finally release some new content (map rotation is really terrible now).

As soon as I get a new computer, I expect I will be moving on to Star Citizen. But I dont regret spending money on this game. I've spent countless hours playing it.

The only sad part is that I could easily have kept playing this game for many more years if PGI had kept their promises. Right now, I don't think that's going to happen.

I do know I wouldn't have felt good about never spending any money on this game though. At least I tried to keep the franchise alive. Maybe that will help a future Mechwarrior game, some day.

Eh. I see "old player returning" posts around here all the time.

If you've got the idea that quitting will magically motivate the devs, you've probably misinterpreted the situation.

Welcome to the Echo-Chamber Island! While I share your feelings, I have nothing to gain from not hopping on here from time to time, playing a few matches, and forgetting about it.

Oddly enough, there'a game called Farm Simulator 2013 which really has my attention right now. All we have is Case IH on the farm, and thi game actually has it!

Best part, it's not controlled by internet peoples, and has a multiplayer.

Clan mechs were the make or break point for many of us... and seeing the vindicator come out before can wars is just salt on wounds.

amazes me the negative attitude people are throwing at a man who served for your freedom... But I guess respect for those who served is something that's not taught to the current generations anymore...

I can't say I blame you dude.. I'd be pissed too.. I've only been playing since March and I feel my excitement/joy for the game dwindling down to "yeah I've got an hour to kill, might as well play a match or two" kinda vibe.

Bought a kitfox... yeah it's fun, clan mechs are kinda cool, but it's just more of the same. deathmatch games can only be fun for so long...

I'd say take a break and come back in awhile and see what happens with CW. gaming community needs great players to stick around otherwise it'll just become troll central...

I got my founder's dollars worth of fun, even though most of the fun wasn't related to the game they sold me on.

This is why i never invest more then i feel i can to lose. It is also why i always keep the mind set of "aim for the stars, reach the treetops" or translated to plain English. I take what is being promoted and the ni think to my self... If they can deliver half of this it will be a good game (on the premise that the presented features are good that is) For an example that is why i was not in any way surprised when CCP´s World of Darkness MMO got killed.. Way to ambitious.

So far, and with the phase 1 deployment just around the corner MWO have reached my treetop... All that cmoes to the game now is just fine gravy on a solid elk burger with lingon-berries... Oh i really should get some brunch..
