I just did 1 kill "no damage" what did you do today? Names scratched off completely except mine and one that I purposefully renamed to. You cant miss it.

I once had 8 assists and 6 damage. It certainly was a What The?... moment.

there is a point where beam weapons do like zero damage but still count as a "hit" so you get the assist
also ive heard Tag "hits" count as assists too not sure bout that one.

I had a match were my team failed and died but the disconnect (from the beginning of the match) on the other team ended with 1 assist as I ran thu him at his spawn when I was buzzing base turrets earlier in the match.

Well I just got 30 points in one match for the challenge, aside from that not much. Awesome FTW.

Damage column probably follows typical math rounding rules and you hit for under .5 damage and it resulted in a kill.

Tonight I shot a guy and ether me or another guy killed him and the only thing that showed up on the screen was component destruction. There are even people on my team or the enemy's that dont even have a red or blue marker on them, just a plain mech running around the battle field not showing what team they are on.

That happens too often and sometimes leads to accidental teamkilling. Thankfully who's on your side will be obvious when (or if) CW kicks in and it's all-IS teams vs. all-Clan teams.
