I know the kitfox has some arms from some of the other variants namely variant s. That makes more sense then an alt configuration you can already build with the omnipods. Will we get different omnipods for the other clan mechs?

The Stormcrow alt A left arm has 4 energy hardpoints and the right arm for variant b has 6 energy hardpoints. I'd like to mess around with them. Is there a reason we haven't gotten them?

I realize that clan mechs are a sore point for many but I don't think a 6 hp arm will really change the scr much at all. It's not like you really want to boat 10 MLs but you might have fun with smls and flamers.

Get a nova?

More to the point: I really wouldn't expect more omnipods, if they do happen it'd be with the addition of a whole new variant.

And that almost never happens - phoenix mechs notwithstanding.

At the very least I'd like to see an "F" variant torso omni pod for the smn that has a 5th energy hard point. An "A" or "D" tbr right torso allowing for an energy hard point w/o inquiring all the negatives from the "S" model RT pod would also be nice.

Yes we will get more but only for the timber. It still needs an ecm in the head and few more weapons hardpoints.

Well there is precedence for this. The Kit Fox for example has the C arm available to it but no C variant.

However PGI needs to be very careful abouy this. Look at a Timber Wolf and Dire Wolf for example. Part of what makes them so good is the fact they have so many mix and match capabilities that it is rather hard not to be able to find the perfect build. Add too many options and you will have obsoleted IS mechs entirely, not because of power but because of customization. Lets face it, even with the ability to add endo and change engines at will, IS hard point restrictions can be down right restrictive at times.

In the command chair post about Omnimechs, Paul mentions the D arm for the Nova, which contains a missile hardpoint...I'd like that arm.

It's possible we'll get them at some point, but no saying when.
