Could we please have the ability to place command module in the torsos. In a lot of builds, being restricted to the head hurts the build. Clan can place their targeting computers anywhere.

first of all, no, and second of all, no. its not cannon, there was only one experimental mech (out of null set MechWarrior RPG) that had a center torso cockpit (if there is something after the jihad nonscence I don't care), the command console is a second cockpit (fully functional 3 tons 1 crit) that the "commander" rides in so that he can be on the front lines with the troops and not have to be burdened with concentrating on piloting the mech at the same time as directing the battle, there was also the option of a Duel cocpit (usually pilot and gunner) that was 1 ton and 1 crit.

Greetings all,

As stated this module/component is a major feature for the Mech's that could mount it.
- It's full functionality is not modeled in the game 'Yet'.
- There are other 'options' that this unit should have, that are not yet ready for PGI to include in it's function.
- It's Command, sensor, and communication suite enhancement's need there own separate operator to be 'fully realized'.

There is not an option for the actual 'second' player to occupy the single Mech.
There are no 'enhanced' features that this Command seat gives 'yet'.

- Part of the 'Role warfare' should be to assume the 'Command' of different size units in the game, as the player progresses up the levels within each Faction. Until we see what Role Warfare will include in it's different tree's and Pilot skill sets there's not much that can be said about this special module.
- The Command Module for IS Mech's is solely lacking in what it brings to the battlefield, it's now compared to the Clan targeting computer, and that is not what it's function is or was.

Just saying,

Using what has been implemented already, I would have liked to see the Command Console unlocking the ability to take the artillery strike and the air strike. Sounds like a commander thing to do for calling in outside firepower.

I am sure many wouldn't want to restrict the use of the strikes to only mechs with Command Consoles so what about a boost to those consumables? Maybe increase radius, faster drop, more pellets etc.
