Sometimes in the game an ally player will not have an arrow above their head, nor an arrow in the HUD map. A bad recipe for Friendly Fire. My solution? We implement a Friendly Fire Alert System! A few different things it could do would be; Turn target marker from Red(Opposing player) to Green(Friendly), Give an audio warning message, and maybe another small visual. Just a thought; not really sure if this has been brought up before, but thanks for the time to read!

Good idea. I nearly TK'ed a friendly Jenner one match because he came out of nowhere and didn't have an icon. I alpha'ed him pretty hard. To his credit, he was cool about it and didn't get mad, although he had every right to be.

The Friendly Fire alert would be great, but I could also just settle for PGI fixing the missing IFF indicator.

well in all honesty IFF should be blocked by enemy ECM, friendly fire should be in effect and full force I would be happier if they would fix clipping issues with shooting (tourmaline is worst for this) as in shots impacting on stuff that isn't there.

I like the idea of an enemy ECM blocking out the IFF; but even when an ally is nowhere near any enemy, they are blocked out for some reason.

I have noticed this as well, but having used military equipment in real life its nothing unusual.

Why not just negative points for friendly fire damage and not too less.

I would personally prefer the issue be fixed than have new...
...what am I talking about? This is a perfect chance for Betty to yell at new players more for shooting their team. I say do it! :)

But in all seriousness, I honestly have not seen this thing for a long time now. Perhaps I am just lucky (for once) or something. ;)

The missing indicator we're talking about isn't with respect to enemy ECM. I've had non-ECM friendlies disappear from my IFF in front of me, and others come barreling around corners at me, when nowhere near enemy Mechs. That's the issue we're discussing here - FF as a result of PGI bugs.

Regarding the clipping issues, yeah that needs fixing, stat! Tourmaline is bad and I also hate HPG for this reason - those pillars up top are nigh impenetrable when trying to snap shots through them.

Also! I do not mean the arrow above the players head, but instead the hit-marker changing from red for any hit, to green or blue for a friendly hit-marker.

There are other games (of course I can't think of them now) where the crosshairs change colors denoting enemy or friendly units. Usually the crosshairs are a neutral color (like now) then they change to red or blue. Easy identification. I could see the enemy ECM disrupting this for their units but it should always turn blue for your team.
Just an idea PGI

uhh please do not do this, I don't want this game to become like halo that all you need to do to shoot at an enemy is wait for red crosshairs (not mattering if you, yourself can make them out or not), yes a glitch does exist were sometimes IFF does not work, honestly I think it adds realism, the real problem is twitch reflex that people have with shooting and not confirming their targets, people seem to think this stuff always works, it doesn't, not in real life and certainly not on a real battlefield, but hey its a game, not a true simulator, so if they "fix" it or not I am indifferent (funny how friendly fire is more effective against lights than enemy fire is)

I'll agree with that, as a player (still) of CB I want as much realism as I can get and this game has already been nerfed to death. And I would not want this ending up like a halo arcade style game either.
Maybe a solution for those trigger happy people would be to either (or both) make blue on blue kill penalties worse (they're a joke now) or make a module available that gives better IFF in whatever form seems appropriate.
