Twice now I have rejoined a match after getting killed , but when I reconnect I get what I can only describe as a "flight" mode

• My viewpoint is there without any cockpit or icons etc.
  
• I can fly around anywhere - just point the mouse and hit "W"
  
• I can straff left and right with "A" and "D"
  
• The battle is still going on !
  
• I can fly around and watch the battle all over the map
  
• Fly through buildings / Mountains
  
• Even fly straight up and look down on the whole map
  
• Its like an animated TT game from up there

SUPER-COOL !!!!!




Seriously - this is not B.S. it really happened, once on Red River and once on Alpine.

I have downloaded a screen recorder now so if it kicks in again I can video it.

Now I know the dead rejoining to ride-along with team mates is good - BUT IMAGINE being able to rejoin in flight mode !

Disable the chat so no unfair spy-in-the-sky team chat - in fact it would have to be a PUG only option as teamspeak would make it too powerful.

Otherwise a team member would suicide or get someone to TK them in order to become the all-seeing co-ordinator calling out movements from the sky !

Thoughts ??

I have screen recorder now so we will just have to wait and see.

Regardless - of your opinion of my "Honesty" what do you think of the question - Thoughts ??

It would be great as an option in a private match for video recording, training and trial purposes.

Use in the public queue would be asking for trouble though. It would be exploited no end.

Happened to me, but at the start instead of a rejoin. Not video, but I think it's decent proof.

hello newbies you'll see how old this is posted in this thread. it's happened a fair bit.

essentially since Feb-march 2013 open beta, the devs wanted to change the on death cycle through cockpits to a spectator mode, cryengine has it and they've got some unfinished code. that's all they've done. it's not implemented but you can bug into it now and then.

apparently they told the OP there that they were working on this bug... seems another month later it still happens surprise surprise.

You are basically accidentally getting put into observer mode.

Happened to one of our guys in a drop. Seems really rare though.
