IMO, I find it unfair if someone get disconnected and then the Mech will be just stationary for the other team to get free kill.

Maybe if someone gets DC, why wont their Mech just explode so no one can get the "free easy kill". I know some of you may not agree with me, this is just my opinion.

EDIT: The title is meant to be DISCONNECTED MECH GETS DESTROYED?

changed title to the intended one

If they're not too far away, I'll take the penalty and headshot the disconnect. The penalty is a lot less than what the enemy team can farm from it.

You can hear the tears of rage from the light mech farmers clear across the solar system.

disconnects/non-connects should just die. AFK is a bit different because they are still the game technically.

IMHO more effort should be invested to get an re-connect option into the game.

True but sometimes it's not worth it especially if you reconnected when your team is all dead except you against 6 people haha :) But yeah, I kinda agree with the "Reconnect" button :(

I totally agree with Snoopy. Why not instead make it possible to re-enter the game if you're kicked out due to network problems? As for now, the mech is locked once you're back online after having rebooted the game.

The issue with this, was way back when we had repair and re-arm (which still may find it's way back into the game), said player(s) would be in for quite the bill.

I would say yes, normally. But if repair and re-arm do make it back in, it's just bad for the unfortunate that have a spotty connection/PC.

That's been up in the air for awhile, no news on an ETA other than possibly Community Warfare.

Given how short the matches are anyway, I personally don't feel it as a priority now, or anywhere in the foreseeable future.

As far as I know, you can actually get back into the game after rebooting the client - I have done it twice. There will always be some people that will not like how it works. I like the fact that you can actually reconnect at all - thanks PGI. The truth is, if you lock up, there is no sense in closing the client and rebooting it or quitting match and reconnecting. It is usually quicker to just wait - trust me, I seem to get disconnected often now. I actually get disconnected more now since that reconnect patch than I did before. Prior to the patch I rarely disconnected - now it seems like every second match - and my ping is great - usually hovers around 50 with a FPS average of 75.
