Saw this a few times over the challenge this weekend, but have rarely seen it historically. The previous fix for this was to shutdown and restart my mech. That didn't work this weekend though.

This is happening more often for me since last patch too, though thankfully not on the same scale as some of you. It's not affected more than 2 friendlies at once for me thus far, usually only one, and it happens maybe one game in 5. Considering the first time I saw it was after about 1500 drops though, that's still a pretty sizeable increase.

Same as others. Blasted at a Raven then wondered why my team was shelling me to death.

P.S. Anyone played Driftwood MC2X campaign and thought about that Davenport Oil Rig mission? Where Wolfman coded some Nova Cats to secretly be enemies although shown as friendly and once you get to a certain spot they would try to assassinate you?
I want the link to that.

No blue triangles for my team either!! PGI YOU NEED TO SELL THIS GAME TO A COMPANY THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!! I have spent several hundred dollars on this game and you continually screw everything up!!!!!!!!!! YOU are the biggest joke of a company in the gaming industry! If you polled and asked who are the most incompetent developers in the gaming industry it would be you guys by a WIDE margin! STOP making ANYTHING else and FIX the game!!!! Seems like you DONT know how to so please SELL or hire a competent company that cant fix this game!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting this issue a lot too. Not every match, but maybe 1/3. Usually its not just one mech that doesn't have friendly IFF. It's often four or more scattered throughout the lances/team. It's horrible because it causes me to shoot at friendly mechs (when I first experienced the glitch) and now I'm afraid to shoot at anything that doesn't have a red icon over them at a distance, which means that enemy ECM is now much more troublesome. Its even worse during a brawl where I have no idea who to shoot at unless they are close enough that the red icon appears through the ECM cover.

This is all a part of the new 'Memory' mini game PGI is testing. At the beginning of the drop, you must look around and memorized what each friendly mech on your side looks like, then carefully not shoot them for the remainder of the round. Fun and challenging!

I've played numerous games today where the friendly IFF stops working and I only see two or three friendlies on the map. Makes it impossible to try maneuvering tactics when you can't see where half your people are. It's also really darn scary when you're playing a scout in the night river city and come upon an unmarked heavy.
On a plus side, I haven't seen any examples of enemy IFF issues yet. If that starts happening, it'll be game-breaking for all missile boats...

Man, this is an /old/ bug. I though they'd finally licked it, forever ago. This was happening back in Closed Beta. Back during the era of invisible 'Mechs on AMD cards, and Dragons knocking over every other 'Mech when we had physical knock-overs!
Wonder if PGI put some retro code back in there during their attempts to fix desync.
