Where do the dark age novels take place in our mwo timeline. Also are they true cannon or seen as a side universe.

They are canon, and take place long after MWO's current setting; the Dark Age starts in the 3130s, 80+ years after the Clan Invasion.

OK briefest overview I can come up with:

Star League falls
Succession Wars

Clan INVASION!!!
Jihad
Republic
(Dark Age picks up in 3130 when many of the HPGs have been damaged or destroyed which then throws all the Republic into chaos. That is what the books are about.)
