Well, my Graphics card a Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 which was doing well for me these past 18 months or so was good for MWO until it exploded today.

I am highly out of the loop but I am looking to get a video card of comparable or better performance for as little money as possible. I am unemployed so money is the biggest concern, I probably have about 150 dollars or so to spend on this. I may be able to squeeze more out.

The current equivalent to the Radeon 7770 is the Radeon R7 250X. It's selling for around $110, some with rebates putting it under $100.

For the purpose of value though, you might want to look at the Radeon R7 260X at $120 which is a bit more powerful (here's a benchmark comparison of the two cards) and most include a 'Never Settle Forever' silver games pack (2 free games from a list on the Never Settle Forever website). Here's a Gigabyte Radeon R7 260X 2GB card at Newegg.com for $120 that includes the games bundle.

looking at Toms, the Equivalent of the 7770 is the R7 260: http://www.tomshardw...iew,3107-7.html
there's 2 listed at http://pcpartpicker.com :
Asus Radeon R7 260 1GB DirectCU II for $123 on Amazon: http://pcpartpicker....-card-r72601gd5
or the MSI Radeon R7 260 1GB for $100 with a $20 MIR that brings it down to $80 at Newegg: http://pcpartpicker....ard-r72601gd5oc

if you can go over $150 though, you can Upgrade 4 Steps to a GTX 660 or R7 270 for $145-150 after MIR
all 3 options @Newegg:
$175-$30 MIR=$145, MSI GeForce GTX 660 2GB: http://pcpartpicker....660gaming2gd5oc
$170-$20 MIR=$150, HIS Radeon R9 270 2GB IceQ X²: http://pcpartpicker....card-h270qm2g2m
$180-$30 MIR=$150, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB: http://pcpartpicker....vn660wf22gdrev2

Edit: If Your not willing to go over $150, then the GTX 750Ti and R7 265 that's 3 Steps above your 7770 should be in your Price Range.

The R7 250X is a rebadged Radeon 7770 (here's Tom's Hardware's 250X review (which mentions in the introduction that it's a Radeon 7770).
