Maybe if it was 50 wins in a group or solo then the social aspect could kick in. For now its just mindless grinding which is just pushing me away.
The 50 wins really shifts the mental reward mechanism away from skilled combat (a job well done to be celebrated with others) to just mindless numbers.
A word to all the Devs, there is really a dangerous tipping point that where the game just isn't enjoyable anymore. This must be counter balanced by good community and community play.
Niko, you should absolutely convey this to the higher ups. This is a big underlying issue that will lose people forever. The game should never feel meh.
PS: When a large challenge with a large reward is not achieved. IT creates a counter active feeling of loss. (stock traders profit loss folly, even when there is a gain, it feels like a loss) The priorities shift from "I wanted to do that" to " I should have done that". In a larger scale this is poison to the game because it shift the balance from "play" to "work". It shift the balance from "enjoyment with no downside" to "responsibility with consquences"
Advice: avoid "large achievements". Have smaller, more frequent small scale challenges. Make challenge as community objective and not a solo objective.
