who wouldnt want these??

heat over time for however long, plus some obscuration in the enemies cockpit depending on hit location.

plus the added effect of making a mech more visible via flame/smoke ect.

We'll have to wait for ammo-toggle code to be fixed.

on their own, not viable currently

Greetings all,

These ammo 'natures' were effective against Mech's, but came at 'sometimes' a great cost.

- Most of the 'special' or alternative ammo was incompatible with common targeting devices, Artemis, Narc, or Streak systems.
- Due to their specialist nature they tend to be more expensive and larger than their standard counterparts.

Ref:
- They combine flammable chemicals with an adhesive compound to shower their targets with a burning gel. This gel is designed to increase a Mech's heat levels to the point where the DI computer shuts down the 'Mech's Fusion Engine.

- due to their highly flammable nature, any 'Mech carrying them faces a greater chance of ammunition explosions. Such an explosion is significantly threatening because in addition to the standard damage, exploding Inferno rounds will ignite, overwhelming the heat dissipation system. MechWarriors rarely carry them because exploding ammunition will engulf the 'Mech in flames, shut down their reactor, and probably roast them in the cockpit.

For the complete list of all the warhead alternate natures see here:

- Some of these are no longer used or are yet to be designed.
