it's no more than having to chase a light down on Alpine or any other map really. If the map were bigger it would make those lights even more useful because with all the cover it's easy for them to recon and scout, even without ECM.

except on alpine, you have long sight lines to shoot them. In the factory there is so much cover a good light will never be caught.

If nothing else the Vindicators become available for MC today.
And we'll here a torrential outcry for refunds due to gigantic center torsos; the likes of which outdo even the Awesome.
Which will result in a "quirk" instead of a hitbox overhaul.

Meanwhile, I'll be on TitanFall as Origin has given a 48 hour pass to try it out. (Holy crap at 50 gigabytes! That's 2 Blu Rays!)

So while you guys wait for the patch... here's my 5 latest vids.

Truth be told my Battlemaster is actually better than my Warhawk. However, it's mastered and my Warhawks are not. Gotta level 'em somehow.

Other ECM mechs do not have Triple AMS--which is a big middle finger to any LRM mechs. Let's just say I had enough of ECM mechs during the tourney and the challenges, and many of those were ECM Triple AMS Kitties. At leastI do not have to worry about that on trial Kitties and blow them up.

really, you fear the kitfox as a tide changing, earth moving light?

Sir, you should drive one...you would laugh.......or cry yourself into a corner.

Stock kits suck mech butt, seriously. the ONLY thing that makes it come alive are all three variants FULLY researched, and a complete change out of the omnipods. In otherwords, the trial mech allows you to see the cool blue HUD and they hope you drop money to get one. end. of. story.
stock mech...I could barely stand it. Took me 30 battles to wrap my head around its quirks and begin to understand, you must spend lots of money to get it to the effective point.

Which is why light, medium, and heavy squirrel hunters would become viable again ;)

going to be glad today, association and first phase of CW. I wont have to hear that 90 days joke anymore. ;)

As for the map, its possible they could have gotten some work done in the last few days. Even if it is bugged, i would rather have the map and it being worked on while being able to play it. Rather then them holding it off.

This joke will persist until the joke that is PGI's development schedule produces a fully functioning community warfare model into the game. Expect to have to cover your eyes for another few years at least.

That's the other thing, there's a lot of "elite" light pilots that are going to get their feelings hurt on urban style maps like this with tons of buildings to run into. Should be interesting. Also gives a lot more usefulness to JJ mechs

Personally, I can't wait for this map to come out. Every game I played in the PTS I used my Jenner-F, and there's so much cover, and so many ways to break line of sight in between strikes, it was a Jenner's Playground.

I can't wait for the complaining about there being no cover on the mech factory map. After all, the bloke who designed it said it was made to facilitate close range fighting and it mostly resembled Canyon Network with regards to how much cover there is...and everyone complains that there's no cover from LRM's on Canyon

well, there is cover, but a lot of it is "single story" which will only partially shield.

The sad part is how many people you try to explain cover too, refuse to listen. Or cry about having to "hide the whole game".... because they are lacking the skills to use cover to advance, flank, etc, and apparently think all mech combat should be in the open, at 20 paces.

The amount of tactically braindead, CoD reject uber rambos that PGI has decided to cater too, is truly depressing.

It's a light playground in general. This map has potential to make all lights, fast mediums, and fast heavies viable again. If it were about 20-25% larger you'd definitely see that. There are already plenty of small(ish) maps with plenty of wide open areas for those that just want to stomp forward and shoot. it's time we started getting more complex maps like this that offer tons of ways to play it out.
Want to brawl? Plenty of cover to close distance
Want to snipe? Plenty of elevated areas to perch on.
Want to run LRM support? Plenty of areas to sit back and launch them.

Want to scout? As with jsut about every other map, not much need for that here. Too small, enemy is located within 30 seconds of starting the match. That's exactly why we need some bigger maps

You'll still here it, because it is a joke, and unit creation several years post launch is a bigger joke it's an aspect that shoulpd have been here in beta.

Yet once again information is up on reddit that is not up here. Patch notes are up.
Pretty standard stuff.
Looks like we get new mechs, we can create units but some of us still wont be able to realy contribute to a match since desyncs have not been touched.
Sounds like they are just now looking at desyncs!!
How many weeks have desyncs been an issue and they are just now going to "hit this issue hard"
What the hell is the point of even trying out for a unit if I am just going to desync every game.

Am I wrong in thinking that lag/desync issues are paramount at the moment?

Someone posted a text copy of the patch notes on reddit: http://www.reddit.co...atch_notes_826/

Besides unit creation, IMO the only substantial change is the removal of the heat penalty from the weapon mods.

no, some of us are tired of doing PGI's job for them. That's why I stopped posting tweets. It's not my job to make sure their information is dispersed to their customers
