St. Ives Blue is a fun little 'mech. I'm probably going to wait for the rest to come out for C-Bills, but the Vindicators looks promising. Good twist, good mobility, spread damage well, pretty much everything you want in a medium.

MC for Light or Medium (IS) mechs is (IMO) a waste of MC.

Except a decent speed/armour ratio, not saying a good one, just a normal. Instead the full chassis has the same handicap as the BlackJack chassis, but without the BJ arm's advantage.

The 1AA and 1X look like the best of the bunch, but I think I'll pass. If I wanted a slower medium, I'd probably grab a BJ.

1AA and 1X will be the best variants IMHO.

1AA has 295 max engine rating and dual AMS

1X offers ballistics.

I'm a little skeptical about the -1X ballistic capabilities - it can't carry an AC/20 like a BJ can, and it's tough to put very many ballistics in a medium, even with an XL. Using light ballistics also doesn't seem to be worth the exposure time since the RoF got nerfed. I agree about the -1AA, though. The -1SIC is nice being able to carry a bigger engine (250) and more missiles.

You're probably right, but you could load it with MG x 3. Not a FS9 or even a BJ-A, but it does offer an option.

Today... We have Vindicators on sale for MC.

In a few days tops, I'm gonna have more than enough popcorn for the incoming storm.
In the mean time I'm uploading Saint Ives vids from the public test. Hopefully there's a change by the time the Vindicator comes out for cbills.
(Purposely not saying what the storm will be -- for science).

3xMGs might be fun for a brawly (Pared with some MLs or LPLs and an SRM6). 2 AC2s could be paired with an ERLL for some long range support, or even a single AC10 or Gauss with some support weapons.

Not saying it's great, but the energy boat mech can be done just as well in the BJ, the 1AA has good speed to mix things up, and the 1X has a different Hardpoint mix than many other mechs (It's most similar to some of the Shadowhawks or Wolverines) along with JJs.

I'm waiting on the Cbill release personally, but I am very happy that's gonna be next Tuesday according to their schedule (assuming a certain Canadian holiday doesn't get in the way) :blink: The SIB Vindi was fun to play since it's release... tried some interesting builds but to really get what you want out of the Vindi I'm thinking XL engines are going to be very common in builds.

This is what i run in my SIB...

1x - ER PPC
2x - MED Lasers
2x - SRM 4

XL 250, Was to slow with the STD. Now she runs 90 KPH without "Speed Tweak"...
Almost MAX ARMOR (Few points off)
and 3 JJ's...

I can't wait for the other ones....Like the 5x Energy Variant (1R) and the Ballistic(1X)! I want a Gauss Vinidi!

Yup... I stuffed an XL250 in my SIB, 1 EP PPC, 1 ER LL, 1 ML, max armor, 3 JJs, Endosteel, DHS, AMS (1ton ammo), plenty of heatsinks. I've played around with some different loadouts, one very similar to DarthRevis' post. I'm thinking one of these is going to be turned into a Light/Scout hunter.

Nah. Not a nerf bat. Though since you have the Ives, surely you've noticed a few tendencies. If not, well keep an eye out for something that feels wrong. Somehow I think it'll be on all the Vindicators.

Well there is already the bugs i have noticed with the cockpit....lots of them. B) Glitchy and what not as well....

Other then that i have only played with it for about and hour....I will have to go over it with a fine tooth comb i guess.

Oh and the fact that it CRASHES MY GAME ALL THE TIME! :blink:
