I want to see the next line of Inner Sphere mechs that represents the Inner Sphere's reaction to the clan invasion. And I just dont feel like waiting 5 years to see them. Who knows if this game will be around in 5 years.....

My favorite mech ever designed is the Mad Cat MKII. That won't be coming out for over 10 years (timeline). But I don't think we should just decide "Well clans are out time to give Inner Sphere RACs and MRMs"
Because at what point would it stop? I'm okay with giving out a few things "early" like maybe saying we're currently in 3050 ± 1 year.
Well minus 1 year wouldn't make sense but yeah. Kind of "float" around our general area in the timeline and don't stray too far. At least for now.

We only just jumped back to '49, to get the clan invasion right. We already were at '51.
I'm not against time jumps in generall, but please let us play with what we have for a while, before we do so.

Yeah, we already had to take a step backward to accomodate the Clans this year; late 3049/early 3050 is an eventful year!
I don't want ot have to wait five, ten years for big new advancements, but let's roll with Operation Revival for now.

I believe rescaling the time line would be better. 1 year = 4-6 months real life time. That gives PGI enough time to finish community warfare and figure out a lot of the little details of the game needs like AI, the heat system, jump jets, cone of fire etc. before all the interesting stuff happens in the lore and tons of new equipment/mechs need to get added.
