So I was dropping with some trial mechs in testing ground and when I would come out of the match and try to select a different mech it would not let me select any others when clicking on them. I would be locked into the mech I just dropped in testing ground with.

You have to click out to 'home' tab then back into mech lab to let you select another mech.

Have not tried it in an actual match to see if same issue, just testing ground drops.

ETA: Tested this a couple times. Same result when having just exited testing ground match.

Did not have an issue after a normal match drop. Just testing ground.

ETA: Did not happen with my owned mechs when I tried some of those, just kit fox and nova trials (not a clanner but was curious).
