It should be easy to add a clock display in one of the corner of the Mechlab.

I play fullscreen, like many I guess? I often play in the evening and for more than an hour and it's annoying having to ALT-TAB to desktop to read clock... I often go to bed late because of that!
It should be easy to add a clock display in one of the corner of the Mechlab.

Where a watch, it's cheaper and easier for all involved.
