I am trying to patch the game and have tried 5 times now. I've downloaded patch one but cannot get to patch two. Every time the patcher application flashes to the House Liao sale (second announcement) it crashes without an error message or anything before it moves on to the next announcement.

I'm wondering if there's a required software component missing based on recent tweaks to my machine. I've been trying to remove unnecessary software to free up system resources.

I'm running Windows XP 64 version 2003 with service pack 2 on a machine with a Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66 ghz CPU, 4 GB DDR2 6400, and GeForce 9800 GTX+ GPU.
