I'm not completely sold on whether I need Vindicators, but I'd probably start with this build: VND-1R

Yeah not sure i am sold on this either. I love my Shadowhawks and my Crows but i am just not sure where this fits or why i would play it over those others.

as an avid MPL user.. that thing will run so hot it is not even funny.. Even dropping a ton of SRM ammo, to get your needed 10 heat sinks to me that is not really viable on the hotter maps, even for hit and run alpha tactics.

If you wanted a Energy boat, i would do something like this.. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...8e2a0a5006bd0ea

Or something that hits a bit harder..

When do these things come out for C-bills.. I likey! Was not a fan of the black-jacks.. but this i think i could really enjoy.. reminds me a bit of the HBK's or wolverines

Looks like it would be more viable. And cheaper. If you want to get pop-tart-tastic, you could drop the LRM to swap the ERLLs to PPCs.

try this if you can on it

XL220
2 PPCs
2ML
SRM6 + 2 tons ammo
endo
4DHS

using it on the 1AA and it is working out pretty well.

Use a 225XL instead, cut a heat sink for it. You'll get better cooling and be a smidge faster.

EDIT: Yes, I know, cut a heat sink leads to better cooling? Sounds counter-intuitive, right? Double heat sinks that are organic to the engine are true doubles, additional heat sinks are 1.4x normal dissipation. So, with the 220XL you get 8 organic heat sinks and you have 4 extras, for (8x2) + (4x1.4) = 21.6 heat dissipation. The 225XL has 9 organic heat sinks, plus with 3 extra heat sinks (the 4th got cut to make up the 1 ton difference between the engine weights), you get (9x2) + (3x1.4) = 22.2 heat dissipation. Plus a small speed bump from 79.2 to 81 kph. The difference in price between the 2 engines is less than 100k c-bills.

Having one handy is a fine reason to use it. It's just a sub-optimal engine for what you're doing with it. I know XLs aren't cheap, do what you have to.
