I have a pretty good memory on the official comms in regards to MWO in game music. Basically they had Sean Kolton work on must of the trailer music and during open beta it was mentioned that he was working on a soundtrack for them. However fast forward to Q4 last year we were told they weren't going down that path anymore as it didn't fit in with how they wanted it. IMO that was a shame as I liked Sean's work and would have like a proper soundtrack in game.
