I am happy to announce the formation of the Free Worlds League Militia (FW-M)
This unit is being founded with the intent of recruiting Free Worlds League pilots into our community as a whole.
I've been a part of house Marik for over a year now and have made many friends in several units. I had intended to finally choose a unit at the time CW launched, but then I noticed that there where many other pilots flying the Purple Eagle who didn't have a unit and weren't looking, played in a timezone that didn't have many of us on, or in game that had never even heard of housemarik.enjin.com
So I decided that with unit registration upon us to do several things.
1: Claim the unit name Free Worlds League Militia and the tag FWLM. We lost FWLM after the change requiring tags to be unique, they blacklisted all the cannon tags as they did with unit names. AFFS, FWLM ect.
2: Use this unit to recruit pilots to the Free Worlds League for community warfare. Anyone who desires to fly the Purple Eagle is free to join. However membership is not a long term commitment. Ideally pilots will be able to meet and learn about the various units and if for example they want to start playing in a competitive unit we will find them the right fit. And conversely if anyone chooses to retire from a unit they will have place in the militia.
3: Assist our fellows who play during hours that are lower in population. It can be difficult to field a team of 12 during off peak North America hours. Hopefully we can remedy that. I'd love to see a 2nd Free Worlds Militia break off if we can recruit enough players in Australia or Europe for example.
So right now I'm looking for 2 or 3 officers. Preferably at least one in a roughly GMT time zone
and another in the GMT +9 or so. This would allow for nearly 24/7 coverage in recruiting and
forming teams. If your interested in this idea, reply below. Tell me a bit about yourself and what
you would like to do for and get out of the unit. Have you considered forming your own unit? Hey let me know, as I said above my goal is to help make our community the best one to be a part of in MWO. And if we recruit enough players and a unit breaks off then I consider that a success.
