You are bad at math.

BV is bad at math.

BV was created with the idea that bigger is better.

Battletech mathematically rules smaller in larger numbers are always better.

Fourteen Savannah Masters do not equal one Atlas.

But according to Battle Value, they do.

Bro, ten tactical marines with a rhino isn't equal to a space marine captain, either.

That's why it's so good this game isn't updated once every 4 years, but every two weeks. You know?

For this reason it is possible to compare BV only between the same class.
Jenner vs Atlas? NO
Atlas vs 12 savannah? NO

Atlas vs Masakari? YES

If only someone could make a BV system which was easily implemented, impossible to manipulate or exploit, and required nothing more than data which is already tracked and recorded.

Oh ****, that's right. I did that.

The idea is good in general but the implementation is so hard that maybe its good we dont have it and people would most likely find a wat to exploit it anyway.

really math to most programmers is the easy part. Getting it approved by people that don't know anything about software, now there is the trick. Roland I agree with your system. I think when people hear BV they limit themselves to the TT BV. I am simply putting forward a point system. Implemented with a XVM for players and 4x3 to give you a MM. The coding is not that hard, it just takes some thought and a little ingenuity. PGI can come up with their own numbers, this game is so far away from any resemblance to cannon as is, but that is what the competitive players wanted, a CoD build with mechs anyway.

Personally, the meta is gaming the system anyway, lets just bring the spirit of the game back MWO. We do not need to model this game on a series of single player games. I dont understand why that is where MWO started. We never had this issue in BT Firestorm, and LL was not a bad idea, but people really want the Mechlab, and I dont blame them. I just wish there was some way to get rid of the power creep that is starting to run away. The spirit of the game is nearly lost here, and we better get it off life support.
