it would just be fun to see how my mech falls inside the cockpit.
Second topic. if a game instance has a mech with disconnected player, the first player to die should be able to take comand of that mech.

I'd be very happy if we could get the overhead view they were using while covering the tournaments at the launch event.

no, simply because that gives away far too much tactical information to a "dead" pilot. You could give away enemy positions and movements. There's no way to stop this because you can't stop an organized unit on voip from talking, using cell phones, morris code, etc. (and no this is NOT a suggestion to nerf pugs that use voip or organized units). So again, simply a no.

That's easily fixed by making it so dead mechs can't talk. I wish they would do that anyways since too many players whine and gripe and blame their team after they die.

and how do you stop them from talking when they're using software outside of the game to communicate in the first place? Team speak users aren't muted when they die

you can still easily say things like "4 Enemy mechs flanking to your left" "2 Lights and a big mech headed to base" "Enemy team behind the ridges to your left" You don't have to be specific to give detailed information on troop positions and movements

If anything, this would help out a losing team and even up the matches some.

you just went from coming up with ways to stop that from happening to "it's ok because both sides could do it" It's a bad idea, dead mechs shouldn't have the ability to relay pertinent combat information. You're dead. Your contribution to the team is over at that point and shouldn't get a bonus for dying.
