Hello warriors!
What do you think about port DOTA map in MWO?
I'm not play DOTA but landscape of that map is interesting for mech battle.

But...nobody would ever fight on the Dire side since it's too hot.

Bring on the secret shop upgrading my Gauss rifle and PPCs to a Freakin Rail gun.

Larger but with more freedom of movement. Smaller a little than Alpine Peaks.

But Dire side can have more shelters and because of smoke+darkness its harder to aim at mechs that stay in dark.

Anyway I think that sunlight and temperature gradient it's good idea.

No of course. And Defence turrets location can't be like in DOTA.

Its port to MWO so there is no magic. But something like "UAV towers" can be there.

looks like a map you'll see on a strategy game....like LOTR Battle for middle earth 2 or something but thats just me

I like it. And yeah, it would be a bigger version of Canyon Network, but Canyon is a pretty bad map, in my opinion. It has very restricted paths for heavy and assault mechs, which means the whole team is forced into one or two different routes, unless they want to split up (which they usually don't).

For a map with so many cliffs that can't be climbed, it's just too small. It would be great fun if it was twice as big. Then you would actually need scouts and you could surprise your enemies. Right now it's more like:

"Oh, they didn't go to Kappa. Then they went toward Theta"

We already have two MOBA style maps in-game Canyon and Terra Therma, why on earth do you want *more*? Less DOTA more Battlefield please.

The Developers are planning to release a Jungle map that will be similar to what is shown. Only difference is there will be some sort of jungle structures in the middle how elaborate the structures are is up to the developers. But we have talked about a giant Mayan temple. Or a small Mayan town that you fight in.

I would love it!! Would be a better choice that the current assault map.

The Creeps could be tanks & infantry.
JJ would be useful to jump across the forest for fast support.
Anti-infantry build mech would be useful.
Repair and rearm at the base.
Limited Repair and re-arm at side shop.(only armor no internal damage fix)

Cutting Creeps supply line would be a valide strategy.
Gorilla wafare !!!

Of all the ideas, I like this one the most. Adding a destructible object that gives a clear benefit would be pretty cool.

Though one would have to be careful about stuff like that. The base turrets in Assault mode are good example because the stagnate the game quite a bit unless the match is a stomp.

I think that temperature gradient is good idea too. Lets remember(who play it) Ice Sphere from Crysis.
At:
upper left corner -- Ice Sphere(cold)
lower right corner -- recent nuclear blast(hot)
other corners -- base

AND CONCRETE JUNGLES EVERYWHERE... and usual jungles too

or just imagine recent nuclear explosion in center of Frozen City map

Also temperature changing during 15 min fight is interesting. Temperature of explosion crater is decreasing during it.

PGI sucks at map making and never has any one been slower at releasing them. with mechs at $30 a pop and the massive cost of this game to get the goodies we should have a new map every week.

We need mapping tools and community mapping as well as server controls. I would run custom servers till the cows came home. And they would be LRM restrictive for pug matches and lights would have less fire power but the ability to set traps or use wires to run arround fatties. Community mapping is a must I am suprised to see the community is still here with the lack of maps. It gets so boorriinnnggg.

What is that? A map showing an abbreviated form of LOTR where the Shire is placed directly next to Mordor?
