That would explain how I would never have noticed because I have never actually bought premium time. This still seems to me like a poor business model. Why not give people the option to buy premium time while they know they have available funds, then when the player knows they can maximize the use of that time activate it?

I don't really have an issue with not being able to turn it off once it has been activated, otherwise they would have to change selling premium time to hour bundles instead of days. In the end though, knowing that as soon as it's bought it activates probably discourages more people from buying it than anything. Really a shame when I consider premium time to probably be the only thing in the game I feel is priced correctly.

I think the system already does what you're wanting here. Premium Time acquisition is still mediated by MC. You could, for example, get MC when it goes on sale and sit on it until you're ready to buy Premium. MC purchases are on the website, but Premium is bought in-client.

So, you can throw MC on your account when it's on sale and/or you have extra money and then purchase Premium when it's on sale/you're ready. Also, even when Premium goes on sale, only the 3-day passes are discounted (IIRC). Hopefully you aren't stock piling those, because once you're looking at six of them, you'd have been better off paying the full price for 30 days instead.

I was one of the not able to capitalize on the Premium time thanks to work. However it was only 24 hours... I am still holding on to a bit over 90 days worth.

I am just thankful this is not a monthly subscription game as I would not play it no matter how good it was. Personally I cannot stand the subscription pay model for a game.

It would be nice if premium time only ran while logged in for obvious reasons, but the way it currently is just makes me ONLY buy it when I am absolutely sure I have lots of time to burn in game....which actually means I rarely buy premium time.

Like many things that are for sale, no one is forcing anyone to buy it.

I've got tons of premium time that I'll never use. well...not until they change it to where PT is only used when I'm actually playing.

Very much this... I have over 3,000 hours banked and dont intend to use it if they continue to do the non-sensible thing and keep it so the time continues to run out if I am offline. I have a real life I have a job.

Regards

Over 50 days of my premium time from the Phoenix package burned away while I took a break from the game.
If they're going to offer a discount for buying bigger blocks of it, then they need to add the option to use it up in 1 day or 3 day increments, at a minimum.

If this were a sub game it'd have already made the switch to F2P or be dead. There's no way customers would pay 10-15 per month for this much content.

As someone with Founders time burned, Phoenix time and add on time, and clan time to up over 180 days. I woud have used MORE if I could activate blocks. Even 3 day blocks but I would like 1 day. I work odd hours and do sometimes 60 hour weeks. When I get time to play it is GOLD. So I am not activating my WHOLE time to see it squandered away. If I could do the 1 day. When I am off. Well. It would be worth something. Nevermind the holding off on CW. I own it. It is mine to use as I wish. Please allow smaller blocks. Not ON and its ON until burned.
