Who do we talk to get perm channels in merc star?

Any of the TS3 admins can help you out, but your best first points of contact are Deadfire and (I think) Queenblade.

Apologies for not being able to do the pre-check, traffic was horrendous and by the time I got back, the Challenges were over.

Congratulations to the winners and waiting on the screenshots before posting up the results <hint, hint>

I've already posted all results to the appropriate filing cabinet I believe.

No EoM screen for the third match between 228th vs OMC, just a screenshot from Jay Z's stream with his handsome mug on the it :)

Apparently there was no screenshot from what Kageru mentioned earlier. I tried to get it from the stream, but it was cut short of the result screen for each of the matches including the last one. That was the screen shot just as the third match ended.

hong kong is really screwed right now. its in the middle of big a$$ riots and all, to the point they even need to bring in tanks to try resolve the issue. the city is small and loads of stuff is blocked so, getting to work and home is difficult and maybe even dangerous. RL > mech life, not even joking :D

well, it's not THAT bad, at least no tanks. but just yesterday afternoon/evening, anti-protest gangs came in and started roughing up the students, harassing girls, throwing roadblock fences at protesters, while police stood around watching. this was after heavy handed riot police action earlier in the week. naturally people cried foul and even more went on the streets.

so yeah, traffic was bad. so was taxi bill trying to get home on time =\

Guys, I loved every visit I ever made to Hong Kong, and it breaks my heart to see this happening in your great city ... I hope reason prevails and things can get back to normal soon. (For what it's worth, I think the protesters are probably right.)

Gee thanks Kageru, so glad you managed to find evidence of our amazingly thorough decimation at the hands of 228 there :D

I think everyone on our side at least was keen to see if our LRDF focus still had any merit. We knew going in that we needed 2 victories and I may have made the mistake of celebrating after game 2...losing game 3 so comprehensively put a real dampener on our mood :P You guys weren't very far off winning that first game and then really kicked your brawl into gear for game 3 so this could easily have gone the other way for 228.

All jokes aside I'd like to thank both XIII and 228 for the games, definitely a different format but lots of fun none the less. Actually thanks to everyone who have participated thus far and especially those who have organised and assisted with running this tournament, Oceanic MWO really needs these kind of events to stay alive. We're looking forward to some more great games this season and hopefully a second as well :)

I really wish we could have seen your health percentages after the first match ... it didn't feel like we "weren't very far off". I won't speak for the rest of the team, but I was in a pretty nasty funk after losing 4:1, and I let it carry over into match 2. Emdee gets all the credit for pulling our collective heads (especially mine) out of our collective rears between Match 2 and 3.

Jay Z streamed on his channel (but I can't find them saved / posted yet ... he's been busy with school this weekend), as did Netherdawn on NGNGtv. Hopefully one of them will save them as highlights before they disappear into the twitch ether.

In summary ...
- match 1: poke, poke, poke, 228th catches a STK out of position and gets up one kill ... poke, poke, poke ... 228th loses the armor trades (badly), 228th hunkers behind cover, OMC pulls off a brawl at the end and wins 4:1
- match 2: 228th flanks when they should have charged, leaves their JM6 out of position, then gets drawn out in to the open and slaughtered by OMC's better focused fire, OMC wins 4:2
- match 3: 228th, led by a near suicidal JR7, charges and focuses down OMC one at a time in close quarters, 228th wins 4:1

From our perspective, just for interests sake:

Match 1: OMC Stalker pilot experiences horrible desync and still somehow manages to pull 200+ damage out of his arse despite not being aware of what he was shooting at all xD How he managed that, only the gods can say. Managed to recover with some very cautious damage trade, and an all or nothing push at the end.

Match 2: 228th Jagermech gets banzai-charged by OMC Stalker, who then proceeds to take his rage out on anything in sight in retaliation for his internet giving him grief. Messy brawl eventually ends in OMC's favour.

Match 3: 228th do well closing the distance on the new map which really is a pretty damn awesome brawl map. We end up being steamrolled as a result :P

We had a legged Raven and a Phract with no armor over his Gauss Rifle. My Cada was the only thing with any armor left :P

Finalized results was Week 03 posted here.

Would anyone be interested meeting up on Fridays around 22:00 AEST for casual drops against each other or just FFA Solaris Arena style, etc?
