Upgrading all of my modules today. Pressed "Upgraded UAV" because it had not been upgraded (I thought I had the one already) I had 15,500 left. Icon made funny color switch, did not indicate upgraded successful, yet I was left with only 5 GXP in my account. Now upgrade is impossible and my GXP has vanished.

The GXP doesn't update as you use it to unlock modules most of the time, you probably used the GXP on other modules and thought you had enough but didn't.

I suggest you contact support.
Occasionally, the game doesn't update its data enough so you might have tried to upgrade something that you didn't have XP/GXP for.
