Balance Speculation

I bet it's a Clan LBX nerf.
Only Clan weapon that doesn't have an inane nerf.
"How could they mess that up?" You ask...
They could make it spray and pray.
Shooting one round out at a time in a cone of mess.
Similar to closing your lips tight, then exhale through the mouth.
Any takers?

I was hoping for 10 vs 12 or 3:3:3:3 vs 4:4:2:2, but it seems PGI is going for complete symmetry, which means watered down Clan tech. They probably won't change the XL engines, so Clans will always have better survivability. The only thing they can nerf is the weapons. So I expect Clan weapons to end up as worse than IS weapons, in order to maintain balance.

Get real, take an IS mech out for a spin like the Orion or any number of IS mechs. I simply cannot believe clan pilots that can walk through so many opponents without any skill what so ever spam these forums with "dont balance the clans they deserve to be OP".
I am sure there will be some completely baseless reply to this.
Honestly I just found out today that many of the long time Mechwarrior fans that like to pilot IS mechs have likely quit or taken a break from this game.
I can only guess at how new players would react to the situation.

I was an IS player before I made this account. I still play IS almost as much as Clan mechs.
The situation we have right now is horrible, because we have mixed teams with a matchmaker that doesn't care if you're piloting an IS or a Clan mech. If PGI did things properly, we would have no mixed teams, so the Clan mechs could be more powerful than IS mechs, but balanced by numbers or tonnage.
I don't want the Clans to be OP compared to IS mechs, yet treated equally by the matchmaker. That's what's going on now.
I don't want the Clans to be equal to IS mechs, with minor differences. That's what PGI wants to do.
I want the Clan mechs to be more powerful, without giving Clan players a higher chance of winning a battle. That's what I think most people expected, which will sadly never happen, the way things are looking right now.

How ever, here it comes, some speculations:
I speculate that we will have IS Mechs balanced by making them able to crush their arms and feets into clan Mechs because they hate them so much and can do at least some sort of a damage.

This is pretty much what I wanted as well, and I'm a dedicated IS Medium Pilot.
The Clan Mechs should be more powerful than the InnerSphere Mechs, but their numbers should be less on the battlefield. 2 Stars vs 3 Lances -=10 vs 12. Not only would this make the Clans more Clan-like, it'd would also simulate how the invading force was largely outnumbered.

IS is 1 and Clan is 2
2 > 1
how do you want to make a 2 equals 1?

This would be awesome. In fact it sounds so good I'm sure it will never happen.
