For the millionth time - I had to run the repair tool after receiving an error for reading beyond the end of file. After 20 minutes repairing, I try to run the game - and then I get an error message that says some pak file is missing - run the repair tool!!! So I just blew away the installation and re-installed. Faster than running the repair tool multiple times.

The same thing happened to me so I used the repair tool that you need to download outside the patch window. Do a search in the forms and you should be able to find it . It works much faster and has always fixed me the first time within a few min's. I just keep it on the desktop. The one within the patch window under the tools icon has never worked right for me.
