Just a quick little discussion regarding an idea I'd like to see implemented.

A Hero 30% bonus we could transfer from any 'Mech to another.

Now hold on! Keep an open mind here before you whip out the torches/pitchforks.

What I would like to see is not a new Hero 'Mech.
I don't want the Hero 'Mechs C-bill bonus to be transferable.

What I am proposing is a entirely separate thing:

A 30% c bill increase for 10.000 MC.

I want to take this bonus and slap it onto my Gausscat (K2-Cata) so I use it to gain some more serious income over a longer duration (at my convenience rather then PGI's Premium time).

"But TP! This is a horrible idea! Why on earth would I want to play my Hero 'Mech then?!"
Hero 'Mechs already have a 30% C-Bill increase, unique hardpoints and quirks. (Think Victor-DS pre-nerf)

"Why would PGI want to implement this? It would reduce the amount of income they get from Premium time!"
Because there is already more then enough children with the desire for instant gratification, demanding the "best" with minimal effort. Their parents should be able to provide the necessary funds for Premium time. (20% more c-bills)

This c-bill boost would be for the people who want more money without having to resort to the current (and sometimes rather inconvenient) Premium-time. Since we already have the c-bill bonus implemented in-game I do not see a reason why we cannot just switch it on/off at our leisure on any 'Mech.

If it is the price of such an upgrade is deemed too high/low then just adjust the value accordingly.

I don't see any technical problems of doing this, I don't see any reason why I cannot be given more money while playing my favourite 'Mech if I have the cash needed to do so. Since Premium-time cannot be switched on/off to my knowledge, this would serve as a solid second choice.

Regards, TP.

I don't think you understand that PGI has to continually make money to stay in business.

Premium time gives every mech you field a better bonus than any hero mech alone. It is also a regular source of income for PGI. I don't really see the problem with it in a free to play game.

This however:
Their parents should be able to provide the necessary funds for Premium time.

As a parent yes I certainly can. But it is only my responsibility to provide what my children need, not to fund their entertainment everytime the timer runs out. You want that? Get a Job.

I could see it if it were something like 1500 MC or something like that. If it was for 10, PGI would lose a looooooot of money. I would also see PGI limiting this bonus to one mech per player per account for forever. Being able to do that to more than one mech would be ridiculous.

While it sounds great for players, I don't think it'll ever happen.
