The single player challenge was 2 weeks ago, and most folks complained it couldn't be done in a group. They're showing groups and single players equal love here.

Hopefully the next challenge is regardless of group size.

Unless you've missed it this is the 1st Lance Event all the rest up to now have been solo. In a game where you and eleven others make up a Company going up against another twelve, I am surprised to see people complain there isn't anything for a solo player to do. Really?!! Thats kinda like saying 'I'm the QuarterBack the rest of the team doesn't mean anything!'. If you cant find a group have you tried going to the ComStar TeamSpeak servers or No Guts, No Galaxy's ? You don't even need a mic as long as you can hear. To the hearing and speech impaired, you too can join these servers and though it might be harder for you to find a group because of it, but Ive found if you explain the situation (there is a text chat in TS as well) most people are accommodating and will type in game to let you know whats going on. Check out the Recruitment threads too, there are alot of people looking for members you just need to find one that suits you.

The sales haven't been updating the prices in the client making them show for full price, even though they should be at 50%.

I've been joining relatively random groups of 4 (PUG) and play just as if I were in solo-queue. The only difference is that if somebody griefs within a lance, then a player gets removed... (and the organizational hurdle of collecting 4 players).

great challenge!

just ask people in game to form a group, even if you play solo and have empty friendlist, like i did

it is simple, teamwork is even before match, and you can tailor your 4-man lance in so many ways (just remember that matchmaker does not allow more than 4 of each weight class per team so picking 4 assaults will not find you a match so soon)

if this was a sneak peek of clan wars (or community warfare), i really liked it

Advice: Have your lance drop with at least one ECM mech whenever possible; outfit TAG even if you don't have missiles.


It's because of this challenge I actually went to the Team Speak COMSTAR and Strana Mechty rooms and found complete strangers to drop with.
I've never done that before. It was pretty cool

PGI, it's been 8 hours since people starting posting this. I don't like working weekends either, but the fact that there are people telling you that they are trying to give you money and it's not working might be a good justification for a bit of overtime...

Really need some sort of in game chat lobby for this challenge. I have 2x month old babies and simply can't commit to a long haul grind with a group of four. If it were actually made easier to find groups i could have jumped in and out of different groups over the weekend to get it done but there's no systems in place to make this possible.

They should have a chat for each faction and a Mercnet.

Hopefully they will fix this on monday before the sale ends, or better yet, just extend it.
