Hi!

I like the elementals in this universe and i would know, elementals will be playable? Or can we see them on the battlefields as fighting NPC squads?

Considering the in-game date, the only elementals you'll ever see will be Clans. If and when they show up.

"Q. Will there be vehicular combat alongside Mechs for the players this time?

A. At the moment we are not following up with combined arms (tanks, hovercraft, jets etc.)"

So I'd say elementals won't be playable

WhiteRabbit, they sat at the moment. the Clans do not show up for almost a years time, so they have a good amount of time. Who knows what we will see aside from the Devs

I really hope we see them, even if its a forced npc, the flavor still counts.

Also I was looking at your Sig, is Living Legends the go-to mechwarrior experience ? Ive only played MW2 to MW4 and Mechcommander so did I miss out on alot ? I dont think I even heard of Living Legends. I dont want that to mar my chances at joining a group focused on teamwork.

Living Legends is the current go to I would say for lack of anything else. More so if you played MW4 to death. MWLL gives a nice combined-arms experience. I have been enjoying it for over a year now, I am also re getting back in to MW4.

Crysis Wars tends to be easy to find. Steam and such sites have is on sale often enough it seems, MWLL after that is free. Crysis warhead, which includes Crysis Wars can often be found in some bigger electronic stores as well.

I have crysis and warhead, I didnt realize there was a mod. Ive had my nose burried in other things I guess. I have to go through my attic to find my old MW cds. Sorry I feel like ive derailed your topic.

The Clans hit the Periphery in August 3049. In March-April 3050 they hit the IS proper.

So there is still hope eh? :) I'd like to see them too, though I somehow don't think they'll be in the first release.

Yeah. So the clans being in the Periphery really should not impact MWO at all until later when they start to invade. So maybe 8 months after launch :)

The little guys are very crucial to winning a war/battle.

I hated elementals - It was viscerally and terrifying seeing a star of them come out of the trees - 10 pts to get though armor and the thought of a 300 lb genetically engineered killin machine peeling my armor back to fill my cockpit with laser fire - freaky.

Love Battle Armor...Mektek's Free MW4:Mercs release has them. I was completely burned out on Mercs a couple years ago and just for a kick I started playing them (and infantry) and kept me going another 2 full months. So much fun taking out a medium or heavy on it's last leg. Heck, a good loadout on a BA (not that you had a great deal of tonnage to play with) you could almost go toe to toe with a fresh light although you often lost that battle...

I would venture a guess and say no not at release, and not for quite some time until after the clans arrive, and many many many mechs are added.
