STK-4N A modification of the Stalker introduced in 2876 which sought to increase its heat efficiency, the 4N model removes one of the LRM-10 launchers and adds six heat sinks to the design. These make theStalker more heat efficient but also make the 'Mech weaker when engaging an enemy at long range.

So recently the Awesome got some quirks ( Heat Generation (Energy) -12.50% and Rate of heat lost 10%)

It would be nice for the 4N to get similar buffs, so it can do something better than the other Stalkers (not just a worst STK 3F with a less hardpoint and torso movement)

What do you think guys? If someone has a better idea feel free to write it down.

It should get SOMETHING. Heat efficiency would be lore appropriate, but I think it would be more interesting to give it better agility and more module slots than any other Stalker. Maybe a higher engine cap too.

Maybe not necessarily heat efficiency quirks (though I did throw in a yes).

But it definitely needs something.

Yes, something to make it more appealing. A guy in the other post I made suggested this:

-4N variant is allowed to put 2 additional heatsinks in the engine over the normal amount for that engine type.

Sounds pretty nice to me

Actually, those two quirks combined are fairly extreme.
I think it would be too good compared to the other stalkers with those.

But it absolutely does need something.

The stalker and Jenner are the only mech I am aware of that have a model that has no reason to exist.

The Jenner is not quite as bad because it is identical for certain builds.

The stalker 4n is inferior to the 3f in every way, and even with identical load outs it has worse Torso twist.

I would say 5-10% faster missile and energy cool down would be sensible.
This wouldn't have nearly the sustained DPS impact of the heat buffs you suggested, but it would give it a niche.

It would be lore friendly in a sense, because the added heat sinks on the stock config allow it to fire more often.

+1
Simple stuff like that would do it.

I voted no. The Awesome didn't get quirks because Lore. Quirks are a mechanic put in place to balance mechs because their shape puts them at a disadvantage.

The Awesome's barn door shape and large ct makes it much easier to kill that the stalker which presents a much smaller profile. Therefore Awesome needs more awesome for balance.

Physical appearance isn't an issue in TT because hits are worked out by dice roll not player skill.

So I guess I voted no on a lore basis which it sounds like is the reasoning behind your argument.
