While I have continued to post of the forums, I have not dropped in a single match for several months. Here are a few issues I have encountered.

1. Modules: after such a long absence I had no idea where to look for modules in my 92 mechs.

2. Elo: I used to consider myself an upper middle Elo player. but I know I am extremely rusty now (hell I didn't even earn a treat on my first match). I would love to see a small Elo decriment over time. Granted it should not take as long to return to my old level as it did to get there in the first place, but in addition to ring rust I am also battling POWER CREEP. PGI's ole carrot and stick to keep the grind going. Things like learning the new META and WEAPON MODULES, are all barriers to a new/returning player. I think these can be accounted for by a small decriment to Elo over time.

3. Weapon Modules: This was a worse idea than I originally thought. This is the death knell for diversified builds.
First: it encourages taking a single weapon system (eg boating)
Second: The bonuses are (now) huge, and put non-module users at a distinct disadvantage.
Third: there is no opportunity cost (unless you count weapon diversity). Your get Weapon module on top of your chassis modules, and of course con$umables are never impacted by these changes.

4: Your inventory has been updated: updated with what? it has been months, What the hell did you dump in there? some new cool mechs? a heat sink? maybe a weapon module? who the hell knows!

None of these are game breaking concerns but I consider them priority "quality of life" issues that should be addressed before the surge of returning players arrive for Community Warfare.

If you've played 100 matches or more you got a free CN9-AH Centurion. If you bought any MC 'mech package in the past, you got a free AS-7S Atlas.

Actually, it's an CN9-A(C) for 100 matches, CN9-AH for buying MC, and AS7-S for buying any level of any release pack (Clan Wave 1, 2, Resistance, light mech pack purchases count).

Oh, you've come back at a nice time. Check out the perks coming out for the IS on the 4th.

Mild buffs for diverse builds, stupendous buffs for more specialized stuff.

Also some love for pulse lasers.

I agree 100% about the modules, they should be a trade off or not be in the game. I think power creep is small enough to be acceptable though, the JR7-F is still the best light mech, unless you really need ECM or like the Ember more.
